"Hands-on guidance" in every village and hamlet.
Nowadays, the application of digital technology in daily life is no longer confined to urban areas. In Dak Phoi commune, commune officials and youth union members regularly visit homes to guide residents on using digital applications.
From creating electronic identity accounts and submitting online applications to making cashless payments, every step is guided directly. This hands-on approach helps many people in ethnic minority communities gradually become familiar with technology.
The People's Committee of Dak Phoi commune has established 19 community digital technology teams with 152 members. These teams support people in accessing online public services, using healthcare and education applications, and identifying forms of online fraud.
Ms. H Lai Liêng Hót, from Buôn Đung village, said: "Previously, I had to go back and forth many times every time I needed to do paperwork because I didn't know how to use a smartphone. Now I can do many procedures myself on the VNeID application. When I need support, the commune officials provide very thorough guidance."

According to Mr. Hoang Thanh Be, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Phoi commune, the most important aspect of digital transformation is changing people's perceptions.
"Digital transformation truly comes into life when people proactively use online public services or electronic payments," said Mr. Hoang Thanh Be.
Based on the realities at the grassroots level, the People's Committee of Dak Lak province issued Plan No. 182/KH-UBND dated May 18, 2026, to implement the Project "Enhancing digital capacity for people in ethnic minority and mountainous areas" and " Developing science, technology, and innovation in the field of ethnic and religious affairs" for the period 2026-2031.
The goal of the project is to help people gradually access and master digital technology in their daily lives. Through training and practical guidance, people are supported in using smartphones, the internet, and digital platforms safely.
Unleash more opportunities from digital platforms.
According to the plan, Dak Lak province will focus on popularizing basic digital skills tailored to the specific conditions of each locality.
The content goes beyond simply demonstrating how to use the devices; it also provides guidance on protecting personal information, identifying online scams, and using social media safely. This is seen as a solution to bridge the digital divide between remote and urban areas.
Digital transformation not only serves people's lives but also opens up more opportunities for economic development for people in mountainous areas. Many localities in Dak Lak are guiding people to promote OCOP products, sell goods on online platforms, and apply technology to agricultural production.

Distinctive products such as coffee, durian, honey, and traditional brocade fabrics have a greater opportunity to reach a wider market when they appear in the digital environment.
Dak Lak province has also set several key tasks, such as popularizing digital skills, developing digital human resources in the community, exploiting online public services, and ensuring information security.
Starting with small initiatives at the grassroots level, the digital transformation in Dak Lak province is gradually changing the lives of its people, especially those in remote areas. As technology becomes more accessible, the gap between villages and cities is also narrowing.
