Previously, each case was stored in dozens, even hundreds, of paper files. Now, most documents have been digitized and managed electronically, facilitating management, retrieval, and information processing. To date, the digitization rate of files in the two-level People's Procuracy has reached 100%; the Criminal Case Management platform has been deployed synchronously, serving the entire process of resolving cases. Mr. Nguyen Tung Lam, from Department 1, Provincial People's Procuracy, said: "Digitizing files has significantly reduced the time we spend searching, comparing, and compiling documents, because all data can be quickly and accurately retrieved on the system instead of manually working with paper files. At the same time, sharing and exchanging information within the unit and between prosecuting agencies is also faster, more convenient, and more accurate."
Prominent in applying information technology and promoting digital transformation, since 2021, the Son La Procuracy has actively researched and implemented the use of mind maps in resolving cases and incidents. Instead of lengthy reports spanning dozens of pages, mind maps condense the entire case content onto a single data plane. Mind maps help organize, analyze, and present ideas and data logically and scientifically ; using images, colors, keywords, and connections to create an overall picture in evaluating the case. Mind maps help leaders and prosecutors quickly and accurately grasp the nature of criminal acts, focus on important documents and evidence, and the issues that need to be proven in the case; master the system of evidence and documents serving the work of investigation, case reporting, prosecution decisions, and litigation at trial. From the beginning of the year until now, the People's Procuracy at both levels has digitized 892 cases. In coordination with the Court, we organized 81 online court sessions; presented case reports using mind maps for 347 cases; and displayed documents and evidence visually at court sessions for 112 cases.

Ms. Tran Dieu Linh, from Department 3 of the Provincial People's Procuracy, stated: "The cases handled and resolved by our department are complex, involving multiple defendants, various actions, numerous legal relationships, and are governed by many specialized legal documents. The application of mind maps has proven remarkably effective, helping prosecutors systematize a large volume of documents and evidence; clarify the methods and tactics of crime; differentiate the roles and responsibilities of each individual, thereby fully and visually presenting the key aspects of the case."
Along with presenting case reports using mind maps, the Son La Procuracy is promoting the digitization of case files and applying information technology in analyzing and presenting evidence at trials, contributing to improving the effectiveness of coordination between the Procuracy and the Court, serving objective and accurate litigation and trial activities. Mr. Vu Hung Son, Deputy Chief Procurator of the Provincial People's Procuracy, said: In the context of an increasingly large workload, the application of information technology and digital transformation is an essential requirement. In the coming time, the sector will continue to promote digital transformation, apply artificial intelligence and big data; prioritize the development of information technology infrastructure, databases and digital platforms to serve the construction and enforcement of laws, ensuring data interoperability, security, easy access and effective use.

The application of information technology and digital transformation has brought about positive changes in the management, direction, operation, and professional work of the Son La Procuracy, contributing to improving the quality of exercising the power of prosecution, supervising judicial activities, ensuring human rights and civil rights, and enhancing the position of the Procuracy within the system of judicial agencies.
