Binh Duong Club plays for honor.

Binh Duong FC will host Hanoi Police FC (CAHN) in a rescheduled match from Round 23 of the V-League 2024-2025, taking place at 6 PM on May 30th (FPT Play).

Binh Duong and CAHN have lost their chance to compete for the V-League championship this season, but both have secured their places in the league for next season. For the police team, Coach Polking's squad is actively accumulating points in the remaining four rounds to finish in the top three. CAHN currently sits in fifth place with 33 points, five points behind the top three, but with two games in hand.

If Quang Hai and his teammates win their two rescheduled matches, they will surpass The Cong Viettel to claim the bronze medal. However, CAHN's two opponents in the rescheduled round are both tough teams: Binh Duong and Binh Dinh.

Binh Duong FC has alienated fans with its unconvincing performance in this season's V-League. Despite possessing many national team players, the team at Go Dau Stadium lacks cohesion, plays with little enthusiasm, and is prone to giving up easily. Binh Duong's goal of competing for the V-League title quickly failed as they consistently dropped points from the end of the first half of the season.

Despite having changed their head coach twice, both young strategists Nguyen Cong Manh and Nguyen Anh Duc have failed to revive the team's performance. After 23 matches, Binh Duong is ranked 8th, 17 points behind the league leaders. Notably, their main striker Nguyen Tien Linh's goal drought coincides with a period of poor form for Binh Duong.

After seven consecutive draws and losses, Coach Nguyen Anh Duc's team secured their first victory, defeating Ho Chi Minh City FC 2-0 at Thong Nhat Stadium on May 23rd. This result ensured Binh Duong's survival in the league with three rounds to spare and eased some of the fans' disappointment.

To maintain their morale under coach Anh Đức and improve their position in the overall standings, the team playing at Gò Đậu Stadium aims for three points when hosting CAHN. In terms of reputation, Bình Dương boasts many stars comparable to CAHN. The duo of Quế Ngọc Hải and Nguyễn Tiến Linh also want to shine in this high-quality match played at home, to improve their form and regain their inspiration.

Tien Linh, at one point, led the V-League's top scorer list this season but gradually fell behind his colleague Lucao ( Hai Phong ) with only one goal in nine consecutive matches. Scoring against CAHN also helped Tien Linh relieve pressure and regain his balance before joining the Vietnamese national team for the FIFA Days in June 2025.

CAHN FC is also a competitor for the National Cup title this time, along with Binh Duong. The two teams will advance to the final if Binh Duong defeats SLNA and CAHN overcomes The Cong Viettel in the semi-finals. Defeating their opponent is also a way for the winning team to demonstrate their position on the Vietnamese football map. Compared to Binh Duong, CAHN is at a disadvantage as they have to play away from home and their squad is depleted due to the high frequency of matches.
