Midfielder Le Ngoc Bao joined Nam Dinh Club in the middle of the 2023/24 season. Before that, he played for Quy Nhon Binh Dinh Club.
"Nam Dinh Club completed the recruitment procedure for Le Ngoc Bao. The midfielder, born in 1998, is joining the Vietnamese team to play two matches against Indonesia in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. He will join his teammates to practice in Nam Dinh after the match at My Dinh Stadium on March 26.", Nam Dinh Club announced.
The Nam team said Ngoc Bao plans to debut for the new club in the match against Hanoi FC at Hang Day Stadium (round 14 of V.League).
"I was very surprised when I received the invitation from Nam Dinh Club. I decided to join because this is a team with a lot of investment and ambition in many arenas. I want to conquer titles with the club“, Ngoc Bao shared.
This season, Le Ngoc Bao achieved high performance, becoming a mainstay in the defense of Quy Nhon Binh Dinh Club. He helped the martial arts team ranked 5th on the V.League rankings.
That stable performance is the basis for him to be called up to the Vietnamese team to attend the 2023 Asian Cup and 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Le Ngoc Bao was born in 1998 in Phu Yen, trained at PVF Youth Football Training Center. Ngoc Bao once participated in Vietnam's U23 team attending SEA Games 30 and the 23 U2020 Asian finals.
Ngoc Bao is the fourth contract of Nam Dinh Club after midfielder Lucas, midfielder Nguyen Tuan Anh and left back Do Thanh Thinh. The Nam team strengthens its strength mid-season towards the goal of winning the 2023/24 V.League championship. Previously, Nam Dinh's force was strong with the presence of Nguyen Phong Hong Duy, Nguyen Van Toan, Ly Cong Hoang Anh, Tran Van Kien, Tran Nguyen Manh, Rafaelson or Hendrio.
Nam Dinh is currently at the top of the V.League table with 29 points. They are 3 points ahead of the next ranked team, Binh Duong. V.League takes a break of more than 2 weeks for the Vietnamese team to compete in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Coach Vu Hong Viet and his team only took a few days off before returning to practice on March 17.
