On the afternoon of May 20th, a press conference was held in Wuhan, China, ahead of the 2024-2025 AFC Women's Champions League semi-final match between host team Wuhan Jiangda and Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club.
Speaking before the match, head coach Lu Dinh Tuan said: "It is an honor for us to be here to participate in the 2024-2025 AFC Women's Club Championship finals. This is the first time the Ho Chi Minh City women's club has participated in this wonderful tournament, and we are happy to be here."
When asked by a reporter why the Ho Chi Minh City women's club had changed head coach Nguyen Hong Pham, Mr. Lu Dinh Tuan shared: "Our previous head coach was busy and therefore could not participate in this match."
Therefore, the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club had to send a new head coach to support the team. We hope to improve the team's fighting spirit and organization so that we can perform at our best against Wuhan Jiangda."

Assessing the opponent, head coach Lu Dingjun said that Wuhan Jiangda is a very strong team and has played impressively in recent matches.
He said: "Wuhan Jiangda has a quality squad of foreign players and Chinese national team players, so they have very high goals for tomorrow's match. But Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club is also very confident. And we hope to achieve the best possible result against Wuhan Jiangda."
For her part, striker Huynh Nhu shared: "We are very happy to be in China for the first ever continental women's tournament. The Ho Chi Minh City women's team would like to thank the host country for the warm and thoughtful welcome."
The match is just one day away, and we will try our best. The Ho Chi Minh City women's club knows that Wuhan Jiangda is very strong, but we won't know the result until the match is over."
The striker, who previously played for Lank FC in the Portuguese Women's Championship, also hopes that Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club will have Vietnamese fans in attendance to support them in this match. She said: "We played both the group stage and the quarter-finals at home, so we know the advantage of Wuhan Jiangda playing at home."
Therefore, I think the biggest challenge now is the team's morale. Because Wuhan Jiangda Club will certainly have the enthusiastic support of the home crowd. I hope that in the next match, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club will have more Vietnamese fans coming to support our team.
Having reached the semi-finals, the team that capitalizes on opportunities better will win. We will do our best and hope that the fans in Vietnam will "fuel" us from home to help the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club write a historic journey.
The match between Wuhan Jiangda and Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club will take place in Wuhan (China) at 3 PM tomorrow, May 21st.
