Fati is actively maintaining his fitness. |
Mundo Deportivo reports that Fati is feeling very frustrated with being sidelined for so long at Barcelona. However, he maintains a professional attitude and regularly goes to the gym to stay in shape.
On his personal page, Fati frequently shares photos of himself training with the Barcelona coaches, alongside teammates like Lamine Yamal, Gavi, Alejandro Balde, and Hector Fort. Fati's determination shows that he is still working hard every day, hoping to be given a chance to play by coach Hansi Flick.
In the early hours of April 10th, Fati was brought on by coach Flick in the final minutes of the second half of the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Dortmund. Despite his limited playing time, Fati failed to make any significant impact.
Previously, Fati had only played 186 minutes in all competitions for Barcelona, including one start and seven appearances as a substitute. A foot injury prevented the striker from participating in Barcelona's pre-season training camp in the US, thus missing the opportunity to prove himself to Flick.
Currently, the trio of Yamal, Robert Lewandowski, and Raphinha have scored a combined total of 86 goals in all competitions this season. Their chemistry makes Fati's chances of competing for a starting spot very low.
The Spanish striker is at risk of being sold this summer. In January, Porto, Dortmund, and Ajax all expressed interest in loaning Fati, but the deal fell through. It is likely these clubs will return in the next summer transfer window.
