Class time at preschool. |
Our first stop was the kindergarten. Principal Le Thi Thuy happily shared that the school's modern facilities are thanks to the local government's effective efforts in socializing education. The school currently has 19 classes with 351 children, and out of 30 staff and teachers, 16 are from ethnic minority groups in the district. They form the core of the school's efforts in encouraging students to attend school. In previous years, due to difficult economic conditions and limited education levels, persuading families to send their children to school was very challenging, especially for the Mong ethnic group. In many cases, due to family circumstances, children couldn't attend school, and teachers had to visit their homes and participate in village activities to encourage families to create conditions for their children to go to school. Teacher Cu Thi Cong is a prime example of someone who successfully encouraged students to attend school. Born and raised in Mao Sao Chai village, Sin Cheng commune, after graduating from the 9+3 teacher training program, she decided to return to her hometown to teach. With her caring and attentive approach, she and the school's teaching staff have earned the trust of parents and the affection of children, resulting in more consistent student attendance. The school is always filled with the joyful sounds of children singing, laughing, and reciting their lessons.
To improve the quality and effectiveness of education , the school actively innovates teaching and learning methods and launches a movement to create self-made teaching aids and toys. From empty beer cans, plastic bottles, candy boxes, etc., the skillful hands and rich imaginations of the teachers have created hundreds of sets of teaching aids and toys to serve the teaching and learning activities of both teachers and students. This not only saves millions of dong but also provides vivid visual teaching aids that help children absorb lessons with enthusiasm. The teachers here act as second mothers to the young children, guiding them in personal hygiene and care. As a result, the annual enrollment rate reaches 98% - 100%, with over 97% of children in category A achieving high scores.

Meanwhile, Sin Cheng No. 2 Primary School has a playground, lush greenery, and a spacious boarding facility. In the 2010-2011 school year, the school had 221 students in 12 classes, but as many as 124 were boarding students. To ensure the well-being of the boarding students, the school assigned teachers to take turns on duty, regularly checking on and guiding the students in their daily lives and studies.
With consistent student attendance, improving quality is quite easy. The school simultaneously promotes emulation movements among staff, teachers, and students such as: "Building a friendly school, active students," the "Two No's" movement, "Every teacher is a role model of morality, self-study, and creativity"; especially the campaign "Studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh "... Ms. Bui Thi Thuong, the school's Vice Principal, said: Besides the efforts of the teaching staff, an important factor in maintaining and improving the quality of education is the involvement of the local Party committee and government. Sin Cheng has done well in the socialization of education, and along with the investment support from the State, the commune has mobilized thousands of man-days of labor annually to build and repair school buildings, construct schoolyards and classrooms at the branch campuses; contributing 12-13 tons of food to serve boarding students; We have established a scholarship fund of nearly ten million dong to reward students with outstanding achievements and underprivileged students who overcome difficulties to excel in their studies.
With a love for their profession and overcoming difficulties and obstacles, the team of teachers is changing people's perceptions, empowering students in mountainous areas to go to school, and nurturing the dreams of young people.
