Construction on the Cao Minh – Lung Mat road began in early December 2025. The road is 2.8 km long with a total investment of 5.6 billion VND. Of this, 3.6 billion VND is allocated from the state budget, with the remainder mobilized from social contributions.
A key highlight in mobilizing resources for this project is the absolute consensus and support of local people and businesses and organizations in the area. In just over a month (from November 20, 2025, to the end of December 2025), the People's Committee of Bang Mac commune successfully mobilized 185 households and 16 organizations to donate a total of 280 million VND in cash for the road construction. In addition, Dong Mo Stone Joint Stock Company also contributed 500 m³ of stone, assisting in the road construction.
Furthermore, to create a new, paved road surface, and with the spirit of "all for the future of our children," 32 households in the villages of Cao Minh, Lang Tuong, Lung Mat, and Lung Man (villages through which the project passes) voluntarily donated 1.3 hectares of land for the construction. These plots of land, originally used for production, were willingly handed over by the villagers to expand the roadbed according to the design, creating favorable conditions for the construction unit to begin work from the very beginning.
Mr. Tu Van Dinh, residing in Lung Mat village, happily shared: "When the commune implemented the plan to mobilize resources and create land for road construction, my family unanimously agreed to donate 300 square meters of land to expand the road according to the design. When the construction project started, my family also arranged for people to contribute labor to build the road."
In Cao Minh village, the campaign to encourage people to contribute cash and donate land for road construction was also met with unanimous support from households. Ms. Nong Thi Thuy, Secretary and Head of Cao Minh village, said: "Immediately after the commune People's Committee implemented the road construction plan, the villagers unanimously supported it. Accordingly, 15 households affected by the project donated over 8,000 square meters of hillside land with anise trees for the road, and 100% of the households in the village contributed 200,000 VND each in cash for the road construction."
Thanks to the consensus of the people, the project was quickly implemented by the commune according to plan and progressed rapidly.
Mr. Phung Van Nghia, Secretary of the Party Committee of Bang Mac commune, shared: Previously, to travel from Cao Minh village (formerly part of Bang Huu commune) to the new Bang Mac commune People's Committee headquarters (formerly part of Gia Loc commune) to handle administrative procedures, people had to take a roundabout route 15 km long. With the completion of the Cao Minh – Lung Mat road, this distance has been shortened from Cao Minh village to Lung Mat village, connecting to National Highway 279 and the new Bang Mac commune People's Committee to only 7 km. In particular, with the paved road, people in the villages will have favorable conditions to intensify cultivation and care for nearly 150 hectares of high-quality anise trees, increasing economic value and promoting inter-regional trade.
Visiting the construction site in the early days of 2026, we observed a bustling work atmosphere. By mid-January 2026, the contractor and local people had completed the roadbed clearing and paving of 1.7 out of 2.8 km of the entire route. The people of the villages contributed nearly 2,000 man-days of labor to the road paving. Regiment 12, Division 3, Military Region 1 also carried out civilian mobilization work, with 40 officers and soldiers contributing nearly 1,500 man-days to the road construction.
Mr. Long Minh Tung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bang Mac commune, said: Currently, the section of the road in Lung Mat village has been completed with concrete paving. The People's Committee of the commune is urging the contractor, Hoang Gia VQ One-Member Limited Liability Company, to focus all resources and accelerate the progress of the section in Cao Minh village to serve the people's travel needs.
A new spring is coming, and for the people of Bang Mac commune, that joy is multiplied many times over as this Tet holiday, they will be traveling on a new road – a road of unity, willpower, and aspiration for progress.
