A small stamp, a big love.

That passion blossomed when Mr. Tran Huu Hue was just a 14-year-old boy. He recounts that during a playtime, seeing his friends engrossed in admiring the small stamps, which resembled colorful miniature paintings, he suddenly felt fascinated, and from then on, his love for stamps grew. From that moment, the world of stamps opened up, leading him on a meaningful and enduring collecting journey that has lasted for over six decades.

Now, Mr. Hue's collection has become a true "treasure trove" with over 200,000 stamps, carefully arranged in separate albums. Among them, the most special are over 2,000 stamps featuring President Ho Chi Minh. "For me, each stamp depicting President Ho Chi Minh is not just a simple image, but also a story, a vivid page of history. Through learning about President Ho Chi Minh through these stamps, I have come to admire his great patriotism even more, and from that, I have vowed to learn from and emulate him. To acquire these precious stamps, I spared no effort. I was even introduced to a Japanese stamp club, where I could exchange envelopes with international friends. Thanks to that, I also took the opportunity to improve my foreign language skills to communicate and expand my collecting network," Mr. Hue shared.

Spreading the passion for stamp collecting to the younger generation.

For Mr. Hue, stamp collecting is not just a personal hobby, but also carries profound spiritual significance and serves as a means of education . He has used the values from stamps to teach his children and grandchildren to live beautiful and useful lives. When the Vietnam Philatelic Association organizes exhibitions, he always enthusiastically participates with various themes such as President Ho Chi Minh, culture, and the military, showcasing the diversity and depth of his collection. After achieving many successes in the field of collecting, Mr. Hue began to nurture a bigger dream: to open a stamp club to guide young children. His goal is not only to ignite a passion for stamps, but also to educate them about patriotism and patience.

Mr. Tran Huu Hue's dedication and enthusiasm have instilled a passion in many generations of students. A prime example is Le Ngoc Quynh Huong, a student at Nui Sap Town Secondary School, who, despite only joining the club for three months, has already collected more than 10 types of stamps. “I especially love the stamps depicting Hue Royal Court Music, because through them I learned a lot about Hue Royal Court Music (recognized by UNESCO as a Masterpiece of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity). The club not only helps me expand my knowledge of Vietnamese history, but also learn more about the country's landmarks and scenic spots through these miniature stamps,” Quynh Huong confided.

Sharing the same joy, Ly Thanh Nhan, a 6th-grade student from the same school, has also been a member of the stamp club for a year. He finds the club very meaningful, helping him relieve academic pressure. In particular, the historical stamps help him remember knowledge longer and apply it effectively to his studies...

It can be said that Mr. Tran Huu Hue is not just a simple stamp collector, but also a teacher, an inspiration, contributing to nurturing knowledge and love for his homeland in the younger generation through these small but meaningful stamps.

Mr. Tran Huu Hue's journey of collecting and spreading his passion for stamps is a beautiful story about how a personal hobby can become a useful educational tool, contributing to nurturing love for the homeland and inspiring many generations.
