The Hanoi Fire and Rescue Police Force is likened to "jewels in the fire," having repeatedly faced the boundary between life and death to save the lives of the people.
Reuniting with their "benefactors" at the program "Hanoi Police Remember Uncle Ho's Teachings," which commended and honored exemplary individuals in the "For National Security" emulation movement for the period 2020-2025, Mr. Ky and his wife, along with their young child, presented a bouquet of fresh flowers to the officers and soldiers of the Fire and Rescue Police. Mrs. Trang, Mr. Ky's wife, choked back tears as she said: "Even now, I still vividly remember the terrifying feeling of that day. Amidst the black smoke, helpless with no escape, we thought about death. My family is truly grateful to the officers who risked their lives to save us."
Throughout his 25 years of service, combat, and growth within the Hanoi Police force, holding various positions, Lieutenant Colonel Pham Hong Quan, Head of the Quang Trung Commune Police (recently established by merging Binh Phu and Huu Bang communes in Thach That district), has consistently excelled in his duties. Huu Bang commune, home to a traditional woodworking village, faces significant fire hazards. Upon assuming the position, Lieutenant Colonel Quan emphasized to his officers and soldiers the importance of developing fire prevention models to mobilize the strength of the local population. He and his colleagues dedicated considerable time to assessing the situation in the area, persistently encouraging residents to participate in local fire prevention and control teams and security and order protection groups. To date, the commune has established 15 local security and order protection teams and 9 fire prevention and control teams. Sharing his "secret" to winning the people's trust, Lieutenant Colonel Quan confided: When interacting with the people, even small things require thoughtfulness and dedication to build trust with them.
Lieutenant Colonel Dang Viet Quang, Deputy Head of the Criminal Police Department, is always proud to be a part of the Hanoi criminal police force. For many years, he and his colleagues have relentlessly fought against crime, investigating and solving numerous cases, becoming a nemesis of criminal offenders, sweeping through and dismantling hundreds of major cases, creating a sensation and contributing to maintaining peace in the capital. Having been injured twice in the fight against crime, Lieutenant Colonel Dang Viet Quang always understands the sacrifices and hardships of criminal investigators. “Criminals are always reckless and daring, ready to resist to escape, so each officer needs to improve their capabilities and courage, actively study and train to ensure they both complete their duties and guarantee their own safety and the health of their colleagues,” Quang shared.
At the Conference to Commend Outstanding Exemplars in the Emulation Movement for National Security in the period 2020-2025, Major General Nguyen Thanh Tung, Director of the Hanoi City Police, requested that units link the implementation of "Studying and Following the Ideology, Morality, and Style of Ho Chi Minh," and the People's Police movement to study and implement the Six Teachings of Uncle Ho with the emulation movement "For National Security." Specifically, the content should be concretized to be appropriate and practical, aiming to inspire dedication and create a vibrant and widespread emulation atmosphere. Each officer and soldier should always take the ideology, morality, and style of Ho Chi Minh and the Six Teachings of Uncle Ho to the People's Police as a guiding principle for their actions.
