Police investigate case of female student being beaten and threatened.

Regarding the video circulating online showing a female student being beaten by a group of people in Binh Duong, the police have verified the identities of those involved.

On November 30th, the Thuận An City Police Department in Bình Dương province announced that they have investigated and verified the case of a female student being assaulted and threatened, related to a video that has been circulating online in recent days.

The victim was identified as a 13-year-old female student named V. At the time of the incident, around April 2024, V. was in 7th grade at a junior high school in Lai Thieu ward, Thuan An city, Binh Duong province.

The location where the assault took place was identified as a house on Binh Nham 03 Street, in Binh Nham Ward.

The assault stemmed from a conflict between V. and a classmate over gossiping. Subsequently, about 10 teenagers lured V. to the aforementioned area and ganged up on him, recording the incident on their phones.

In November 2024, V. continued to receive videos and threats of further assault from the same group of teenagers, so she finally told her parents about the incident. Only then did her parents become aware of it and report it to the police.

The police have identified five of the teenagers who appeared in the video assaulting V., and are continuing to verify the identities of the remaining teenagers. Initial findings indicate that these teenagers are between 12 and 16 years old.

According to the police, the incident is serious in nature, shows signs of the crime of "intentional infliction of injury," and is still under investigation.
