The project is sponsored and coordinated by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Cinema Department, as per Official Letter No. 3685/BVHTTDL-DA.
The profile "My Country (Vietnam: Beyond Words)" was created with the goal of producing a film that promotes the image of the nation, capturing the majestic natural beauty, historical depth, rich culture, and spirit of the Vietnamese people across all 34 provinces, cities, and sacred islands of the Fatherland.
According to the production team, the film aims to convey emotions and cinematic experiences, inspiring a desire to explore Vietnam through one's own journey. Approximately 15 minutes long, the film is made with modern cinematic image and sound quality, presenting a vivid picture of a beautiful and culturally rich Vietnam. The production team consists of domestic filmmakers in collaboration with foreign experts.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong delivered a speech at the event.
Speaking at the announcement ceremony, director Luong Dinh Dung said that this was a huge challenge for the crew, having to film in 34 provinces and cities with the participation of more than 300 actors. He shared that the pressure of making it was no less than that of a feature film, while the production budget was much higher.
"The film's initial idea was very simple. I think no words can fully express the beauty of Vietnam. Therefore, we wanted to convey the message that if you want to understand Vietnam, come here, touch the land, the water, and the people to feel how wonderful Vietnam is," director Luong Dinh Dung said.
He said the team considered many different names before deciding to keep the name " Profile of My Country ." According to him, every person, every land, every heritage site is a "profile page" that contributes to creating a complete portrait of Vietnam. The English name " Vietnam: Beyond Words" also stems from that spirit, emphasizing that the beauty of this country transcends all words.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong assessed that cinema is an art form with the strongest potential for dissemination, conveying a large amount of information and creating the most profound impact.
According to the Deputy Minister, the value of the film lies not in how many scenic spots or heritage sites it showcases, but in its ability to evoke emotions in viewers, making them want to visit Vietnam and experience its culture, people, and way of life for themselves.
Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong also stated that the 15-minute film is just the beginning of a longer journey. From this foundation, filmmakers will continue to explore in greater depth the stories of cuisine, costumes, traditions, and unique identities of each locality.
He also emphasized the trend of close cooperation between film crews and local authorities to leverage local resources. Beyond just filming, today's film projects utilize local manpower, exploit the unique products and imagery of each region, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of cultural and tourism promotion.

Representatives from the Film Department, along with the production team and guests, at the project announcement ceremony.
Deputy Director of the Department of Cinematography, Do Quoc Viet, expressed confidence in the project and stated that the management agency would accompany and support the film crew professionally.
According to the plan, My Country Profile will be launched on November 24, 2026 - Vietnam Culture Day. After its release, the work will be used at domestic and international cultural events, and will also be released on digital platforms.
The project also aims to integrate QR codes at diplomatic offices, border gates, public places, hotels, air and water transport vehicles, making it easier for tourists to access content introducing the country and people of Vietnam.
In 2027, the film is expected to participate in international film festivals, contributing to promoting Vietnamese cinema and image to the world.
