Premiere and introduction of the play "Against the current of peace"

On May 19, the Vietnam Fire Prevention and Rescue Association ( Ministry of Public Security ) announced that, towards the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Public Security Forces (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025), Hanoi City Police coordinated with the Vietnam Fire Prevention and Rescue Association and the Vietnam Drama Theater to organize a program to perform and introduce the play "Against the Peaceful Current".

The play will be performed at 7:30 p.m. on May 21 at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Cultural Palace in Hanoi. The event is expected to be attended by more than 1,000 delegates, including leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Hanoi City Police, representatives of units under the Ministry of Public Security, leaders of local police, representatives of agencies involved in fire prevention and rescue work under the Ministry of National Defense , representatives of central ministries, branches, Hanoi City, representatives of organizations and forces participating in building a mass movement for fire prevention and rescue.

The play “Against the Peaceful Current” is inspired by a true story, vividly and emotionally reflecting the images of firefighters and rescue workers.

The play “Against the direction of peace” composed by author Thien An, directed by Meritorious Artist Kieu Minh Hieu, was inspired by a true story, vividly and emotionally reflecting the image of Fire Police and Rescue Police officers – brave people who “go against the direction of peace” to rush into dangerous places, fight for life in the sea of ​​fire, bringing safety to the people.

The play realistically portrays the image of firefighters: They are not superheroes, but flesh and blood people, who also have to face the difficulties of life, the very ordinary concerns. But above all is courage, sacrifice and the noble ideal of service. Behind every silent battle is sweat, tears and even blood - paid for with their own lives to keep the word "peace" for the community.

The play expresses the deep gratitude from the community and the whole society for the firefighters and rescuers. They are “heroes” in everyday life - without the need for glory but still shining in the hearts of the people with their courage and dedication; at the same time, it expresses the gratitude of the artists and actors for the firefighters. For the artists and actors, this is not only a role but also a responsibility, attitude, and voice of the artist in the face of the hardships and dangers that firefighters and rescuers have to face every day.

The program is not only an artistic event, but also has profound political and social significance, a tribute to the People's Public Security Forces in general, and the Fire Police and Rescue Forces in particular. This is also an opportunity to spread the noble, brave and humane image of the People's Public Security Forces, especially the Fire Police and Rescue Forces - the silent heroes in peacetime, for the peace of the community and the sustainable development of society.
