With over 30 years dedicated to mining, Ms. Dong Thi Thu Hai, Team Leader of the Well Conveyor Team, Screening and Sorting Workshop, Vang Danh Coal Joint Stock Company (TKV), still maintains her passionate spirit. On the "hot line," where machinery is constantly waiting for coal, Ms. Hai and her colleagues overcome difficulties and hardships to successfully complete the task of "releasing coal." This dedication and innovative spirit have earned her recognition as: an exemplary female worker who excels at both work and family life at TKV; and an outstanding miner of the company.
Behind those certificates of merit lies a story of resilience. When diagnosed with thyroid cancer, Ms. Hai feared she would have to stop working. However, the labor union and company leadership promptly encouraged her and arranged suitable work so that she could both receive treatment and continue her job. "I am grateful for the care and support I received, and for allowing me to live the profession I love," Ms. Hai shared.

The story of Ms. Tran Thi Hang, who works in the same workshop as Ms. Hai, is equally touching. In 2011, Ms. Hang lost her husband and mother, raising two young children alone in a dilapidated house, while also undergoing three surgeries due to thyroid cancer. Just when she thought she would collapse, the trade union and the staff of Than Vang Danh Coal Mine provided support. The TKV trade union helped build a "Trade Union Shelter," giving Ms. Hang and her three children a stable place to live, and also provided chicken breeds to help her family improve their lives. “When I was at my weakest, the trade union and the workshop were there for me, helping me to have a stable income. I am truly grateful to the trade union,” Ms. Hang said, her voice choked with emotion.
In the Dong Mai Industrial Park, Lion Core Vietnam Industrial Co., Ltd. is not only a thriving FDI enterprise but also a company with a strong sense of humanity, placing its employees at the center. Despite being established only four years ago, the company's labor union has quickly become a reliable support system and a "bridge" for sharing, ensuring that no one is left behind.
In June 2024, Tran The Duong's son, who works in the stamping department and had just turned 6 years old, was diagnosed with stage IV leukemia and required long-term treatment. The couple's income was barely enough to cover living expenses, and taking time off work to care for their child caused their finances to plummet. The company's labor union launched a fundraising campaign, collecting nearly 40 million VND, which was handed directly to Mr. Duong at his workplace. This timely support became a source of morale, giving him the strength to care for his son. Mr. Duong was deeply moved: "The labor union created conditions for my wife and I to care for our child and arrange our work schedules. That concern helped my family overcome the most difficult time."

It's not just Mr. Duong; over the past four years, the Lion Core Company's Trade Union has supported dozens of workers facing difficulties, such as serious illnesses, work accidents, raising young children, and family crises. With its flexibility, approachability, and responsibility, the trade union has fostered compassion, spread the spirit of sharing, and built lasting trust between workers and the company.
The stories above demonstrate that trade unions always stand by workers when they need them most. Providing housing support, offering moral encouragement, or giving gifts during Tet (Lunar New Year)... all are imbued with human kindness, maintaining the trust of the workers.
"Thank you, Trade Union!" - Simple words, yet filled with sincere feelings. More than anyone else, the workers understand that behind this care lies the heartfelt commitment, responsibility, and trust bestowed upon them. From these warm gestures, they gain the strength to continue striving, contributing, and building a thriving organization, ensuring that the "Trade Union's home" remains a solid foundation today and in the future.
