According to records, in the Binh Duong area (formerly), there were approximately 1,100 businesses with grassroots trade unions, comprising over 200,000 union members and workers. The Task Force No. 9 of the Ho Chi Minh City Federation of Labor (LĐLĐ) reported that about 90% of businesses in the Binh Duong area have commenced operations.
By the morning of February 23rd (the 7th day of the Lunar New Year of the Horse), approximately 70% of the 4,200 workers at Diamond Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Ben Cat Ward) had returned to the factory.
Meanwhile, at the An Thanh Industrial Cluster in Thuan An Ward (Ho Chi Minh City), the atmosphere at Shyang Hung Cheng Co., Ltd. is bustling with activity. Thousands of workers have returned to the factory in high spirits.
Mr. Mai Van Tuyen, Chairman of the Trade Union of Shyang Hung Cheng Company, said that about 6,900 out of a total of 7,300 workers have returned to work. “There are still a few workers on extended leave, but with the current workforce, we are fully prepared for our production plans,” Mr. Tuyen added.

On February 23rd, the production atmosphere in industrial zones and clusters in Bau Bang commune (Ho Chi Minh City) became vibrant again. According to a quick report from the Bau Bang Commune Trade Union, the commune currently has 96 enterprises and units with trade union organizations, employing a total of 25,496 workers; of which 23,482 are trade union members. The workforce mainly works in manufacturing, processing, and some administrative and public service units.
By 10:00 AM on the same day, the number of workers returning to work in Bau Bang commune reached over 45%. Businesses with a large workforce include: HTL Furniture Co., Ltd., Omega Smart Home Vietnam Co., Ltd., Arneplant Vietnam Co., Ltd., etc. On the first day of the new year, 15 out of 96 businesses organized New Year's gatherings and gave lucky money to workers, ranging from 100,000 to 200,000 VND per person.

Meanwhile, at Printing Company No. 7 (Tan Tao Export Processing Zone, Ho Chi Minh City), by February 23rd, 100% of the workforce had returned to the factory in high spirits. The company gave each employee a New Year's gift of 1 million VND and organized various games with lucky prizes.

Meanwhile, at Pouyuen Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Tan Tao Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) - the company with the largest workforce in the South - the number of workers returning to the factory on February 23rd reached over 88%. According to the company's union representative, the workers who had not yet returned to the factory were mainly from Central and Northern Vietnam, still on leave, maternity leave, or sick leave.
According to Mr. Truong Van Phong, Deputy Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Industrial Parks and Export Processing Zones Management Board (HEPZA), on the morning of the 7th day of the Lunar New Year (Year of the Horse), approximately 50% of businesses had resumed operations after the Tet holiday. In addition, about 80% of workers had returned to the factories to work.
On the morning of the 7th day of the Lunar New Year, at Minh Viet Engineering and Construction Joint Stock Company (An Ngai Industrial and Handicraft Cluster, Ho Chi Minh City), the production atmosphere quickly stabilized. Production lines operated simultaneously, workers started their shifts on time, and the work pace was urgent but orderly. The management and the trade union also organized a meeting and gave lucky money to the employees for the new year.

Minh Viet Engineering and Construction Joint Stock Company has over 400 employees, and on the first day of the new year, more than 80% of its workers returned to work. The remaining workers, mainly from northern provinces, are expected to be fully present by the 8th or 9th day of the Lunar New Year. This high return rate of workers helps the company ensure the progress of orders right from the beginning of the year.

At the Nitori Export Processing Enterprise Union, Ho Chi Minh City Branch (Phu My 3 Industrial Park), on February 23rd, more than 90% of the total 4,400 workers returned to work.

According to Task Force No. 5 of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Union, as of February 23rd, approximately 92% of businesses in the Ba Ria - Vung Tau area had resumed production, with nearly 95% of workers returning to work. Many units organized New Year's gatherings and gave lucky money to their employees. The majority of workers who have not yet returned to work are from footwear and garment businesses with few orders; and seafood processing and construction businesses that lack sufficient raw materials. Some have been granted extended annual leave. It is expected that by the 10th day of the Lunar New Year (February 26th), 100% of workers will return to work.
