For many students, History is often associated with dense timelines and monumental events that are difficult to remember, but for Thi, it is a great passion that was kindled and nurtured from the very first years of learning the subject.

Through the lens of a top student, Thi confided: “When I immersed myself in the world of History, I realized that it wasn't just dry words or cold numbers of the past, but a vibrant stream where historical moments are rekindled. More than just a subject, History has taught me many profound lessons about life, about how our nation has resiliently risen after countless hardships, and about the noble qualities of its people. That's why I cherish and am more attached to this subject than ever before.”

Besides her love for History, Thi is passionate about learning Chinese – a foreign language she has been involved with since the 6th grade. Recognizing her strong aptitude and confidence in achieving high scores, Thi proactively chose Chinese as her subject for the high school graduation exam .

“I love learning Chinese because it not only provides me with a new skill to improve myself, but it's also a ‘key’ that helps me gradually step out into the world and broaden my perspective. Furthermore, in the current context, Chinese is a huge competitive advantage in the job market. Mastering this language early on is a solid foundation for my future,” Thi shared.

The rule of law is not an excuse to deny the Party's leadership role: The 80-year journey since the first Constitution in 1946 (Final article)Building a socialist rule of law state is a long-term undertaking, addressed in numerous Party congresses. The 13th National Congress of the Party further clarified the meaning of "socialist rule of law state". “The construction of the socialist rule of law state in Vietnam, of the people, by the people, and for the people, under the leadership of the Party, has achieved very important achievements. Understanding and theory regarding the socialist rule of law state in Vietnam are becoming increasingly unified, complete, and profound. The mechanism of division of labor, coordination, and control among state agencies in the exercise of legislative, executive, and judicial powers is becoming clearer and showing positive changes. Human rights and citizens' rights as enshrined in the Constitution continue to be concretized by law and better implemented in practice; direct democracy and representative democracy are strengthened. The model of the socialist rule of law state in Vietnam is constantly being perfected and operates according to the mechanism of "Party leadership, State management, and people's ownership" - this was the assessment of our Party at the 6th Plenum of the 13th Central Committee on building the rule of law state.”

Before entering the 2026 High School Graduation Exam, Thi's knowledge base is very solid, having consistently achieved many accomplishments. Notable achievements include first prize in the provincial-level History competition for gifted students in the 2025-2026 school year, second prize in the national-level History competition for gifted students in the 2025-2026 school year, and passing the HSK 6 Chinese language proficiency test (the highest level of the HSK 6 system) in 2026.

Promoting the spirit of self-learning

To achieve those "sweet fruits," Thi developed a scientific learning method for herself. Her core principle is to always deeply understand the essence, the stories, and the driving factors behind each event in order to decipher all her questions. When applying this principle to History, Thi can approach the subject systematically and logically. This learning method helps Thi absorb knowledge quickly, connect issues coherently, and transform studying History into a journey of discovering the unknown, thus maintaining her passion.

As a student who persistently pursued self-study throughout her high school years, Thi asserts that the combination of self-reliance and information technology has yielded groundbreaking results. According to Thi, self-learning helps students shift from a "passive" to an "active" approach, fostering independent thinking and critical thinking instead of rote memorization.

Meanwhile, information technology serves as a vast repository of knowledge. Whenever faced with a difficult problem or a complex historical event, instead of being confined to textbooks or readily available paper documents, Thi always utilizes the Internet to search for research papers and documentary videos from reputable sources to gain a multifaceted perspective. At the same time, Thi optimizes memorization by digitizing lessons through mind maps and modern note-taking applications to quickly master the knowledge.

In particular, when asked about the secret to achieving a perfect score in the challenging exam, the top-scoring student shared a valuable lesson: constantly identifying and correcting one's own mistakes. Thi believes that during the process of self-study, learners easily make subjective judgments or accept unverified knowledge. To avoid being led astray, Thi always proactively cross-references and verifies information from reputable sources.

“This continuous process of self-correction not only helped me refine my thinking and promptly fill in knowledge gaps, but also gave me absolute confidence in the face of every question,” Thi confided. Thanks to her solid knowledge base, she confidently entered the exam. In addition to two perfect scores of 10 in History and Chinese, Thi scored 8 in Mathematics and 7.25 in Literature, for a total score of 35.25 across the four subjects.

After reaping the rewards of her hard work, Thi has identified Education as her future career path. For her, standing on the podium is not only a childhood dream but also a passion for imparting knowledge and inspiring future generations. This summer, Thi is striving to improve her foreign language skills, hone essential soft skills, and proactively research her major to avoid feeling overwhelmed and to quickly adapt to the university environment.
