On March 22, Princess of Wales Catherine (Kate) announced that she had cancer and was in the early stages of chemotherapy, and expressed her desire to have "time, space and privacy" while She completed her treatment.
Princess Kate said she was diagnosed with cancer after successful abdominal surgery in January.
According to the Princess, this was "a big shock" but she "is getting healthier and stronger every day."
The 42-year-old princess did not reveal the exact type of cancer but described the past months since she was hospitalized as "very difficult" for her and her family.
In response, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak praised Kate for her courage in making this statement, and said she had "the love and support of the entire nation as she continues to recover."
On the same day, White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre sent health wishes to Princess Kate and called for "respect for the privacy" of the Princess family.
