Mr. Nguyen Huu Dang is no longer the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors as of December 12th. According to an announcement from HDBank, Mr. Nguyen Huu Dang submitted a resignation letter from the Board of Directors due to "personal reasons".

According to Mr. Dang's resignation letter, the resignation was "at his personal request to join another credit institution."

The extraordinary general meeting of shareholders in 2025, scheduled for January 8th, will vote to approve the removal of Mr. Dang from the Board of Directors.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Dang, born in 1970 and originally from Long An province, has been associated with HDBank for over 20 years. He was appointed General Director in 2010 and held this position until 2020.

Mr. Dang has held the position of Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors since April 2020.

According to the 2023 annual report, Mr. Nguyen Huu Dang is one of the bank's major shareholders, holding up to 2.74% of the shares (over 80.2 million shares). However, the recent list of shareholders owning 1% or more of HDBank's charter capital only includes the names of two organizations, and not Mr. Dang.

Senior management at banks has seen frequent changes recently. MB Bank recently appointed Mr. Vu Thanh Trung and Mr. Le Xuan Vu as Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of OceanBank, respectively, after acquiring the bank.

At Agribank , effective December 10th, Mr. Tran Van Dung has been assigned to oversee the operations of the Board of Directors, replacing Mr. Pham Duc An, who has just been appointed to the Executive Committee and Standing Committee of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee.

Previously, in October 2024, Agribank appointed two Deputy General Directors, Mr. Pham Chi Thanh and Mr. Do Duc Thanh.

Last October, LPBank appointed Mr. Vu Quoc Khanh as acting General Director, replacing Mr. Ho Nam Tien, who was elected as the Permanent Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of LPBank.

VietinBank also has a new CEO born in 1983, after Mr. Nguyen Tran Manh Trung was appointed to the position of managing the bank.

At Eximbank, Mr. Pham Dang Khoa, a businessman born in 1983, has also just been appointed to the position of Deputy General Director of the bank.

Meanwhile, PVCombank recently appointed three Deputy General Directors simultaneously: Ms. Nguyen Thuy Hanh, Mr. Dang The Hien, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Linh Chi.
