Since the beginning of the pandemic, Vietnam has recorded 11,611,376 cases, ranking 13th out of 231 countries and territories. In terms of the number of cases per million people, Vietnam ranks 120th out of 231 countries and territories (an average of 117,342 cases per million people).

Data reported daily by provincial and city health departments on the Covid-19 management system of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management, Ministry of Health (cdc.kcb.vn) shows that on May 30, 273 patients were declared recovered, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 10,637,927. 63 patients are currently receiving oxygen therapy, including 50 cases using oxygen masks; 7 cases using high-flow oxygen (HFNC); 3 cases using non-invasive mechanical ventilation; and 3 cases using invasive mechanical ventilation.

No deaths were recorded on May 30th. The total number of deaths due to Covid-19 in Vietnam to date is 43,206, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of cases.

On May 29th, 606 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine were administered. Thus, the total number of vaccine doses administered is 266,408,987. Of these, 223,741,054 doses were given to people aged 18 and over: 70,909,201 doses were the first dose; 68,455,683 doses were the second dose; 14,344,121 doses were booster shots; 52,133,593 doses were the first booster shot; and 17,898,456 doses were the second booster shot.

Vaccinations for children aged 12-17 years totaled 23,965,543 doses: 9,130,889 doses for the first dose; 9,021,366 doses for the second dose; and 5,813,288 doses for the first booster dose.

A total of 18,702,390 doses were administered to children aged 5-11 years: 10,227,846 doses for the first dose and 8,474,544 doses for the second dose.
