Shooting has long been recognized as a strong sport for Vietnamese sports, leaving a clear mark at many regional and continental competitions. In that overall success, the shooters of the People's Police have always played a core role, contributing consistently to the national team's achievements and depth of talent.
In 2025, the People's Police sharpshooters continued their impressive season, winning numerous medals at international and regional competitions, most notably the 33rd SEA Games. Not only did they bring home a significant number of medals, but the athletes also demonstrated remarkable progress in their competitive spirit, ability to maintain performance, and adaptability to the increasingly intense competition. These results affirm the effectiveness of training and development, while also highlighting the need for continued, in-depth, and strategic investment.
Based on that need, on the afternoon of January 27th, the Vietnam People's Police Sports Association signed a sponsorship agreement with the National Cybersecurity Association and Van Giang Dual-Use Industrial Park Investment Company Limited (a member of the National Cybersecurity Association).
The agreement aims to develop the sport and the People's Police Shooting Team towards a professional, high-performance orientation, while also supplementing important resources for Vietnamese shooting and the national team.
According to the signed agreement, the partner organizations commit to providing sponsorship for a period of 3 years. This funding will be focused on training athletes and coaches, with an emphasis on sending coaches to participate in advanced training courses and accumulate competition experience. This is considered a key factor in ensuring sustainable, long-term development, rather than focusing solely on short-term achievements.
The signing of this agreement not only demonstrates the interest and support of organizations and businesses for the People's Police Sports, but also contributes to affirming the determination to build a force of highly skilled shooting athletes capable of competing in major arenas. Through this, it will gradually elevate the status of People's Police shooting in particular and Vietnamese shooting in general in the new development phase.
