Mr. To Van Hai, from Cay Tram hamlet, Tan Thanh ward, raised concerns about social insurance policies with provincial social insurance officials.
Besides going door-to-door to disseminate information and explain the benefits, contribution levels, and participation methods, helping people understand the policy correctly and fully, the application of digital technology has also yielded significant results. A community Zalo group has been established in the neighborhood, connecting most households. Information about voluntary social insurance is updated regularly, promptly answering questions and enabling people to proactively access the policy.
"Currently, many households are proactively registering to participate through Zalo groups. The application of technology helps to make the dissemination of information faster and more effective than before," Mr. Bang added.
For the goal of sustainable social welfare
Beyond mere propaganda, the important thing is that people's awareness of voluntary social insurance has shifted positively. People are increasingly understanding that this is a long-term policy that helps ensure their livelihoods after retirement.
Ms. Ho Thi Phuong, Head of the Culture and Social Affairs Department of Tan Thanh Ward, said: "During the campaign, we always explained the benefits in detail so that people understood that participating in social insurance was a way to save for old age. Once they understood, they were very supportive and felt secure participating."
In Cay Tram A hamlet, Tan Thanh ward, the movement to participate in voluntary social insurance has also seen many positive changes. Mr. Diep Thanh Giang, head of the hamlet, said: "The local forces actively coordinate and closely monitor the area to disseminate information and clearly explain the benefits. Once they understand, people are willing to participate, viewing it as a safe savings plan for the future."
A specialist from the Revenue Management and Participant Development Department of the Provincial Social Insurance Agency disseminates information about social insurance policies to the public.
Voluntary social insurance is one of the important targets in the socio-economic development of Ca Mau province in 2026. Achieving this target will not only contribute to ensuring social security but also create a foundation for the sustainable development of the locality.
Despite certain challenges, with flexible contribution levels, government support, and convenient participation methods, voluntary social insurance is increasingly becoming a suitable option for many people.
Practical implementation has shown that when policies are communicated through methods that are close to and relevant to the people, they create a high level of consensus. Combining direct communication with the application of digital technology opens up new avenues and enhances the effectiveness of mobilizing people's participation.
With the determination of all levels and sectors and the consensus of the people, the voluntary social insurance policy is spreading more and more widely, becoming a practical "savings" that helps people feel more secure against life's risks.
