Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department appoints two more senior leaders.

(NLDO) – The General Department of Taxation has issued a decision appointing two additional Deputy Directors of the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department.

On November 18th, in Ho Chi Minh City, Deputy Director General of the General Department of Taxation Mai Son chaired a conference to announce Decision No. 1826/QD-TCT and Decision No. 1828/QD-TCT appointing Mr. Phan Van Dung, Head of the Thu Duc City Tax Sub-Department (Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department), and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong, Head of the Tax Declaration and Accounting Department (Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department), to the position of Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department.

According to Deputy Director General of the General Department of Taxation Mai Son, during their tenure, Mr. Phan Van Dung and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong were consistently evaluated by all levels and sectors as having strong leadership and management capabilities, effectively implementing tasks, always being dedicated, enthusiastic, responsible, and possessing a spirit of learning and self-research to serve their professional work; and always successfully completing assigned tasks.

In 2024, the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department was assigned a budget of over 351,000 billion VND by the National Assembly and the Ministry of Finance , of which nearly 334,000 billion VND was from domestic taxes and fees. In the first 10 months of the year, domestic budget revenue in the city was quite good, reaching over 318,000 billion VND, equivalent to 90.6% of the annual budget target.

In addition, the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department manages the largest number of taxpayers nationwide, with over 350,000 businesses, more than 250,000 business households; over 11.6 million personal income tax codes and nearly 2 million households paying non- agricultural land use tax.

"Therefore, to enhance the leadership and management capacity and help the Tax Department excellently fulfill its assigned tasks, in addition to the current Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department, Mr. Nguyen Nam Binh, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, the Ministry of Finance, and the General Department of Taxation have agreed on the principle of simultaneously adding two more Deputy Directors to complete the number of five Deputy Directors for the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department, including Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung, Mr. Thai Minh Giao, Mr. Giang Van Hien, Mr. Phan Van Dung, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong," added Deputy Director General of the General Department of Taxation Mai Son.
