This is considered one of the notable competitive trends in the smartphone market in 2026.

On the evening of June 11th, HONOR launched its HONOR 600 Series smartphones in Vietnam, comprising three versions: HONOR 600 Pro, HONOR 600, and HONOR 600 Lite. The HONOR 600 is priced at 17.99 million VND, the HONOR 600 Pro at 25.99 million VND, and the HONOR 600 Lite at 10.99 million VND.
A notable feature of the new product line is the integration of numerous AI-generated features into the everyday user experience. According to the manufacturer, the device supports creating short videos from still images using natural language commands, and also includes photo editing tools such as object removal, frame expansion, and AI-powered content processing directly on the phone.
This move reflects a new competitive trend in the smartphone industry. After years of focusing on cameras, screens, or processing performance, phone manufacturers are shifting their focus to AI as a differentiating factor to attract users to upgrade their devices. Over the past year or so, many manufacturers have introduced AI tools for translation, information searching, content summarization, image editing, and content creation support.
Notably, these features are no longer exclusive to high-end phones costing tens of millions of VND. Manufacturers are gradually bringing AI to more accessible segments to expand their customer base and stimulate device upgrade demand amidst slow growth in the global smartphone market.
Besides AI, HONOR continues to invest in hardware elements that users care about, such as cameras and battery life. The HONOR 600 Series is equipped with a 200MP main camera and the AiMAGE image processing platform. The HONOR 600 Pro version adds a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom.
Notably, the HONOR 600 Pro is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, a chip typically found in high-end smartphones. Along with a 7,000mAh battery, 50W wireless charging, and advanced AI features, this model demonstrates the blurring lines between the mid-range and high-end segments as manufacturers bring technologies previously reserved for flagship models to lower-priced products.
In terms of hardware, the HONOR 600 and HONOR 600 Pro both feature a 7,000mAh battery and support 80W fast charging. The Pro version also includes 50W wireless charging and reverse wireless charging. The HONOR 600 Lite uses a 6,520mAh battery and supports 45W fast charging.
The devices also feature 120Hz refresh rate displays, a claimed maximum brightness of 8,000 nits on higher-end versions, and support for IP68, IP69, and IP69K water and dust resistance standards. The new product line also integrates Google's Gemini AI assistant and several multi-device connectivity features, including compatibility with the Apple ecosystem via OneHop.
According to the announcement, the HONOR 600 Series went on sale in Vietnam on June 11th. During the initial sales period, HONOR is offering a direct discount of 2 million VND on the HONOR 600 and HONOR 600 Pro, while the HONOR 600 Lite receives a 1 million VND discount.
The fact that manufacturers are continuously bringing AI from flagship models down to more accessible price segments shows that this technology is shifting from a premium feature to a new competitive standard in the smartphone industry. With increasingly longer device replacement cycles, AI is expected to become one of the key drivers of smartphone upgrade demand in the coming years.
In addition to the three new smartphones in the 600 series, the brand also officially launched the HONOR Pad X8b tablet with an 11-inch screen, Snapdragon 680 chip, and an official price of 6.99 million VND.
