The Vietnam Pickleball Awards 2025 are entering the crucial voting phase, with only a few days left until the deadline. After more than a month of implementation, the awards have seen widespread participation from the domestic pickleball community.
The organizers said they received more than 1,900 nominations from various localities. After a screening and professional evaluation process, the shortlist for each category was announced in early March, serving as the basis for the voting round.
Data from the system recorded over 50,000 votes in just the first week after voting opened. The level of engagement has continued to increase in recent days, especially in highly competitive categories.
In the athletes' category, the nominees for "Male of the Year" and "Female of the Year" are neck and neck in terms of votes. The gap between the leading candidates is small, making it impossible to determine a winner yet. Similarly, the club and league categories are also seeing constant changes in rankings.
Several nominees have surpassed 1,000 votes, but haven't yet established a clear advantage. This suggests that the deciding factor will likely be in the final days.
The final results are determined based on two sources: evaluations from a panel of experts and votes from fans. This mechanism makes the race dependent not only on popularity but also on professional merit.
With pickleball rapidly developing in Vietnam, the number of nominations and votes reflects the growing size of the community. At the same time, the level of competition in each category shows a clearer differentiation in the quality of athletes, clubs, and competitive activities.
As the voting deadline approaches, many categories still lack a safe lead for their nominees. This makes the final stretch crucial, where rankings can change by the time the vote is finalized.
