Former player Tran Anh Khoa, coach of the Da Nang youth team, passed away this morning, December 4th, at the age of 34. Just one day before his sudden death, Tran Anh Khoa was still working normally at the Da Nang club.
Tran Anh Khoa, born in 1991, was formerly a midfielder. He was part of the Da Nang team that won the silver medal in the V.League and the National Cup in 2013.
Former player Tran Anh Khoa has passed away.
Tran Anh Khoa's career took a major turn in September 2015. A dangerous foul by an opponent during the match between Song Lam Nghe An and Da Nang in round 25 of the V.League caused the midfielder to suffer a serious injury.
Tran Anh Khoa subsequently underwent numerous surgeries and treatments over the next two years. However, he was unable to return to competition and decided to retire at the age of 26.
The former player, born in 1991, was given the opportunity by his club, Da Nang, to transition into coaching. Tran Anh Khoa attended coaching certification courses and was assigned to work with Da Nang's youth team. In 2024, he was an assistant coach for the U21 team.
