Rescue man swept away by flood

On the evening of October 28, Mr. Mai Thanh Sang, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Nha Commune (Da Nang City), said that a resident who was swept away by floodwaters at night was rescued promptly.

Earlier, on the evening of the same day, a clip was posted on Facebook showing a man being swept away by floodwaters under Ha Nha bridge, in Ha Nha commune ( Da Nang city).

This person was lucky to hug the electric pole. Although the Vu Gia River was flowing rapidly, he still tried to hold on to the pole. On Ha Nha Bridge, many people shouted for help to get people on boats to come to the rescue, and at the same time encouraged the victims to try to hold on.

After that, two men swam out to rescue and brought the victim safely onto the boat. The man was completely exhausted after struggling in the floodwaters.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Nha Commune said that the person swept away by the flood was Mr. Luong H. (residing in Ngoc Kinh Dong village, Ha Nha Commune). At 6:30 p.m. the same day, Mr. H. was rowing his boat to visit his cows outside the farm when it suddenly capsized. A local resident driving by discovered it and called for help.
