On a journey back to the roots, the Ham Rong Historical and Cultural Relic Site always offers visitors special emotions, thanks to the value of the destination and its diverse range of experiential activities. During the destructive war waged by the American imperialists, Ham Rong was always a fierce battleground, fiercely resisting the enemy's relentless attacks. Now, visiting the Ham Rong Historical and Cultural Relic Site, along with landmarks such as Ham Rong Bridge and the C4 Hill battlefield, visitors can explore several typical architectural works such as: Dong Son Ancient Village, the Temple of the Holy Saint, Dong Son Pagoda, Truc Lam Ham Rong Zen Monastery, the Temple of the Heroic Vietnamese Mother and Martyrs, and the Memorial Area for teachers and students who sacrificed their lives on the Ma River dike construction site...

Amidst the shade of ancient trees are the royal temples and tombs of the kings of the Early Le Dynasty... If Lam Kinh was the starting point for the history of resistance against the Ming invaders in the 15th century, then the Ngoc Trao guerrilla war zone is a vivid testament to the indomitable fighting spirit during the resistance against the French. This was one of the first guerrilla war zones in the country, the pinnacle of the anti-imperialist national salvation movement in Thanh Hoa (1940-1941), where the Ngoc Trao guerrilla unit, the predecessor of the Thanh Hoa armed forces, was established. Amidst the vast mountains and forests of Ngoc Trao, the memorial plaques, traditional houses, and preserved artifacts truthfully recount the arduous but resilient struggle of the guerrilla forces.
