The "Your Health" model, introduced by the Provincial Labor Union at enterprises this weekend, was eagerly awaited by many workers. Around 11 a.m., the free medical examinations, consultations, and medication distribution for nearly 300 union members and workers were completed, but workers were still rushing to request check-ups. They said that having this annual health check-up program was very necessary and convenient for the company's employees. When they were seriously ill, they could take time off to go to the hospital, while for common illnesses, people would buy medicine themselves or even skip treatment altogether.

Ms. Le Thi Anh Dao has worked at An Giang Samho Co., Ltd. for 8 years. She has participated in almost every "Your Health" program. "I've received health check-ups and consultations on how to care for my health, and gained knowledge about preventing seasonal illnesses and family planning. Besides this program, during my time working here, I've felt that the union and the company take very good care of the employees. This includes special benefits for female workers, especially those who are pregnant, and maintaining vibrant sports and cultural activities..." Ms. Dao said.

In celebration of Workers' Month 2025, the Phu Tan District Labor Union provided financial support for the construction and renovation of "Union-sponsored Homes" for 27 union members in difficult circumstances. This included support for the construction of 13 new homes (40 million VND/home) and the renovation of 14 homes (20 million VND/home), totaling 800 million VND, drawn from the district's social welfare fund. The District Labor Union also presented 35 gifts to union members and workers facing difficulties, including those who suffered work accidents or occupational diseases, from companies and businesses in the area. Each gift, valued at 500,000 VND, was also funded by the district's labor union.

A highlight of Workers' Month in Cho Moi district was the "Workers' Festival" held at ATC Furniture Company (My An commune), with nearly 500 union members, officials, and employees participating. The organizing committee awarded flags and certificates of merit to collectives and 6 individuals with outstanding achievements in the workers' movement and union activities; and presented 100 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances in the area (500,000 VND/gift). In addition, the District Health Center coordinated free medical examinations and provided free medicine to 80 company employees. A large number of union members and employees participated in lively and joyful folk games.

The "Workers' Festival" organized by the Long Xuyen City Labor Union was equally vibrant, taking place at My Thoi Park, marking the beginning of the Workers' Month activities in the hometown of President Ton Duc Thang. Hundreds of union members, workers, civil servants, and employees from agencies, businesses, and units in the city participated in the activities and benefited from the welfare program with a total budget of nearly 200 million VND. Despite unfavorable weather, the festival proceeded as planned, being both practical for union members and demonstrating the concern of the Party Committee, the government, and employers.

According to the Chairman of the Long Xuyen City Labor Union, Truong Van Chiem, the work of caring for union members, especially protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers, is not only emphasized during Workers' Month but throughout the workers' working lives. At the event, the Long Xuyen City Labor Union presented 54 gifts to union members and workers suffering from serious illnesses or work accidents; 160 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances; and supported the construction and repair of 2 Union Shelters. In addition, union members, workers, and civil servants also participated in folk games, singing together, decorating camps, cooking, etc.

This year's Workers' Month takes place at a very special time, coinciding with the implementation of the policy of merging and reorganizing administrative units at the provincial, district, and commune levels. In this context, trade unions at all levels have launched numerous activities to create a joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere for union members and workers, making a practical impact and prioritizing resources to support members with housing, and to share resources with those in difficult circumstances or with serious illnesses. Trade unions at all levels also coordinate to continue monitoring the labor and employment situation in businesses; organize "May Dialogues," "Thank You to Workers" events, and especially focus on recruiting new members and establishing trade union organizations…
