On December 17th, a delegation of domestic and international experts, students, and tourism and travel businesses had the opportunity to visit many new destinations in Da Lat, aiming to better understand the tourism products that the city has invested in and developed to attract tourists, especially during the year-end period. The program was part of the international conference “Da Lat: Developing Green Tourism and Cultural Industries from Natural Resources, Biodiversity, and Local Culture,” organized by Tuoi Tre newspaper in collaboration with the Da Lat City People's Committee. Dr. Jackie Lei Tin Ong, a lecturer in tourism and hospitality at RMIT University Vietnam, said that she teaches a course on managing and developing infrastructure for tourism and hospitality. When visiting places like Da Lat Wonderland or the Sculpture Tunnel, she noticed that these locations all possess unique selling points, particularly the flowers and surrounding landscapes, or the diverse sculptures in the large spaces. "Unlike major cities, Da Lat is charming in a special way, a harmonious blend of pleasant highland climate, remnants of French culture from the distant past, subtly reflected in its architecture and roofs," shared Dr. Jackie Lei Tin Ong. Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi also share similar architectural features, but Da Lat is unique because it offers a sense of rest and relaxation. Visitors also have the opportunity to visit The Florest, Da Lat's largest nature resort, with an area of ​​over 60 hectares. Although only in operation for over a year, this destination has attracted flower lovers and those who enjoy nature-oriented activities. Similarly, a group of tourists from Suphan Buri province, Thailand, couldn't hide their delight at the picturesque flower hills. Ms. Apinya, a tourist in the group, said that the weather, food , and scenery pleased everyone in the group. The program concluded a memorable day with a gong performance and dinner at the K'Ho Cil Cultural Village in Ta Nung commune. Here, visitors could enjoy local specialties while interacting with the K'Ho people through gong dances. According to experts, Da Lat will continue to be an ideal destination for short getaways, attracting families and couples with average budgets. Factors such as the cool climate, beautiful scenery, and flexible services are creating a significant advantage, encouraging a more diverse range of tourists to visit Da Lat and extending their stays.
