The Pickleball World Cup 2026 will take place from August 30 to September 6 in Da Nang , marking the first time the tournament has been held in Asia.
This year's event utilizes multiple competition venues, including Tien Son Sports Palace, Tuyen Son Sports Village, and the central sports complexes of the central coastal city.
According to the organizers, the tournament is expected to attract more than 4,000 athletes from 80 countries and territories, making it one of the largest pickleball events ever held in the region.
The tournament consists of two main categories: National and Individual.
In the National category, teams compete in five events: Open, Kids, Junior, Senior, and Master.

Meanwhile, the Individual category will be divided by age group and DUPR level, a ranking system widely used in world pickleball.
Da Nang winning the right to host the event is seen as a major step forward for Vietnamese pickleball, given the sport's rapid development in Asia in recent years.
Beyond the professional aspect, the tournament also opens up opportunities to promote the image of sports and tourism for the host city by welcoming a large number of international athletes, experts, and tourists.
Alongside the World Cup, the 2026 Asian pickleball season is also buzzing with the PPA Tour Asia, a series of tournaments bringing together many of the region's top players.
The continuous emergence of major events shows that pickleball is transforming from a grassroots movement into a professional competition model, with its appeal becoming increasingly evident in Vietnam.
