Samsung has now confirmed on X that it will be holding a Developers Conference (SDC) on October 3rd in San Jose, California (USA). While not directly confirming the launch of One UI 7 at this event, it's traditionally the place where the company announces the latest update for its mobile devices.
The announcement confirms the date for this year's SDC event, where One UI 7 will be launched.
After One UI 7 is launched at SDC, Samsung usually rolls out the update to devices soon after. Last year, the company introduced One UI 6 on October 5th before rolling it out to users later that month. Therefore, it wouldn't be surprising if One UI 7 starts arriving on Samsung devices in October this year.
As usual, the rollout will be done in stages, meaning not everyone will receive it at the same time. The first products to receive this update will be the most recently launched high-end models, followed by other devices receiving One UI 7 at the appropriate time.
There is currently very little information available about One UI 7, relying mostly on rumors, where reports suggest it will include improvements to battery management, new animations, new NFC features, and more. Additionally, there are the notable features of Android 15 announced by Google, such as partial screen sharing, private spaces, better notification management, and enhanced security features.
