The unique gem market of Luc Yen

The Luc Yen Gemstone Market, located in Yen The residential area (Luc Yen commune, Lao Cai province), has been in operation since 1990 and currently has 250 neatly arranged stalls, each approximately 0.7m².

The crafting process requires meticulous attention to detail and the use of a magnifying glass to enlarge the gemstone.

The stalls display natural raw stones and gemstones, crafted in a variety of types, sizes, and colors, with prices ranging from a few hundred thousand to several hundred million dong. Almost 100% of the stones here are naturally mined from gemstone quarries in the Luc Yen area.
