The historical site of Phu Ba, Hac Thanh ward.
The historical site of Phu Ba, also known as Phu Ba Hac Long, is located in the former Huong Tho village, Tho Hac commune, now Thong Nhat neighborhood, Hac Thanh ward, Thanh Hoa province.
The complex of historical relics includes the village's tutelary deity temple and the Mother Goddess shrine (or Lady's shrine).
According to local tradition, the tutelary deity worshipped in the temple is the renowned general Nguyen Chich, who made significant contributions to the Lam Son Uprising, helping Le Loi repel foreign invaders and establish the Later Le Dynasty.
Phu Ba is a place of worship dedicated to "Princess Dao Hoa". Legend says she was a servant of Princess Lieu Hanh, and the Nguyen dynasty emperors all bestowed titles upon her.
To honor the contributions of the renowned general Nguyen Chich, and to promote the beauty of the Mother Goddess worship tradition, every year on the 2nd day of the 3rd lunar month, the local government and people solemnly organize a traditional festival at the Phu Ba historical site.
