Following the success of 8 events, on the evening of April 28, the People's Committee of Hue city, Thua Thien - Hue province solemnly held the opening ceremony of Hue Traditional Craft Festival 4 with the theme "The Essence of Vietnamese Crafts". This is a big event for Hue city and Thua Thien Hue province to preserve and promote the value of traditional crafts, promote promotion, stimulate tourism, raise the image and position of the locality.
Opening night Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2023 really gave residents and visitors a party full of emotions and art of sound, light and throbbing dances. The show was held on the banks of the romantic Perfume River with a creatively designed and contemporary stage based on the traditional materials of the ancient capital.
The theme "Vietnamese Craftsmanship" is clearly and artistically expressed through unique performances on stage through the combination of music, dance and visual effects showing a new Hue spirit: novelty, creativity but still retaining valuable traditional values.
This year is also the first year of the Traditional Craft Festival with the participation of art troupes and craft villages from some regions of Japan, Korea, etc., which are twin localities with Hue city.
After the opening night, the Festival will continue to be held along the two banks of the Perfume River and many other areas in the city with the participation of 2 craft villages and craft establishments - representing the quintessence of Vietnamese craft with over 69 artisans, "golden hands".
The event will last until May 05, 5, and all programs will be completely free for residents and visitors.
