Ha Tinh specialties "in high demand" after the holiday

(Baohatinh.vn) - After the April 30 - May 1 holiday, Ha Tinh specialties such as cu do candy, salted eggplant, dried seafood, fish sauce... "sold out" when tourists and children far from home chose to buy them for use and as gifts.

At the Cu Do production facility of Mr. and Mrs. Thu Vien (Ha Huy Tap Street, Ha Tinh City), from May 2nd until now, the number of customers coming to buy has been bustling. On average, this facility sells 12-15,000 pieces of candy per day, double the usual number.

To meet the increased demand of customers during the holidays, the facility has increased its workforce from 10-12 people to 25. From candy cooking to packaging, employees work continuously to deliver to customers on time.

Ms. Phan Thi Nhu Y - representative of Cu Do Ong Ba Thu Vien facility said: "On normal days, we sell 6,000 - 8,000 pieces of candy/day, this holiday doubled. Learning from many previous holidays, the facility has proactively prepared raw materials to produce in large quantities. Customers on this occasion are mainly local people buying as gifts and passersby stopping to buy."

In recent days, the shopping atmosphere at the OCOP store located in Thien Cam tourist area (Cam Xuyen) has become more vibrant and bustling than usual when tourists come to visit and choose to buy typical products of Ha Tinh.

Shelves filled with attractive specialties such as fish sauce, mackerel, dried squid, shrimp, deer antler wine... always attract customers to learn more and shop.

Mr. Nguyen Van Minh (a tourist from Hanoi ) shared: “Ha Tinh’s OCOP products are very diverse and of fresh quality, I have bought them to enjoy many times. During this holiday, my family chose to buy 5 liters of pure fish sauce, some mackerel and dried squid. These are all local products, eating them once is unforgettable.”

Mr. Tran Van Duc - owner of OCOP store at Thien Cam tourist area shared: "On the occasion of April 30 - May 1, on average, we welcomed and served more than 200 customers every day to shop, thanks to which our revenue broke through, reaching more than 30 million VND/day. This is truly a commendable achievement, adding motivation to us and the farmers, fishermen, and manufacturers who have created these quality products."

The rustic pickled eggplant dish is also quite popular and “in high demand”. Each box of pickled eggplant is sold for an average price of 50,000 – 70,000 VND. According to the owners, customers on this occasion mainly buy 2-3 boxes or more, some even buy dozens of boxes.

For many Ha Tinh people living far from home, pickled eggplant is always a familiar dish in family meals and there is nothing more delicious than a bowl of vegetable soup with crispy eggplant.

Ms. Tran Thi Hai Hoa (from Nghi Xuan, living in Hanoi) shared: "Every time I return to my hometown, my family buys a lot of hometown specialties to bring to Hanoi to use gradually and as gifts for relatives and friends. This April 30th holiday, I bought 8 liters of traditional fish sauce from the sea of ​​Cuong Gian commune, salted eggplant, dried squid, jellyfish salted with dung leaves, shallots... ".

Following tourists and people far from home to all regions of the country, this is also an opportunity to increase the promotion of Ha Tinh specialties, thereby creating more opportunities to develop the consumption market for local products.
