The report of the steering committee for the signing ceremony said that as of October 14, 93 delegations led by senior leaders and leaders of ministries and sectors of various countries had confirmed their attendance at the event, along with more than 1,000 delegates and the press.

The Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have closely coordinated with the United Nations (UN) Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) to develop the program for the signing ceremony, as well as eight high-level events chaired by leaders of relevant Vietnamese ministries and sectors and UNODC; 38 workshops, professional discussions and more than 20 exhibition booths.
Concluding the working session, the President emphasized that Vietnam hosting the signing ceremony of the Hanoi Convention is an important milestone as it is the first time Vietnam has hosted the signing of a UN convention, in the context of the issue of combating cybercrime being of concern.
The President affirmed that chairing the signing ceremony is proof that Vietnam is a responsible host country; a friend, a reliable partner, an active and responsible member of the international community; ready to contribute to world peace, stability and development; and comply with the UN Charter and international law.
In order for the signing ceremony to meet the highest requirements, the President reminded the relevant agencies to review the coordination within each ministry and between ministries and Hanoi City, ensuring close coordination from the script, content, plan, progress, and quality of implementation. Along with that, carefully evaluate the prepared contents from the technical, content, reception, and security stages; consider any difficulties and problems that need to be resolved and removed, ensuring thoughtful organization, quality, and absolute safety.
