Ensuring quality and safety for the opening ceremony of the Hanoi Convention.

According to the report from the signing ceremony organizing committee, as of October 14th, 93 delegations led by high-ranking officials and ministerial leaders from various countries have confirmed their attendance at the event, along with over 1,000 delegates and members of the press.

The Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have closely coordinated with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) to develop the program for the signing ceremony, as well as 8 high-level events chaired by leaders of relevant Vietnamese ministries and agencies and UNODC; 38 workshops and professional discussions and more than 20 exhibition booths.

Concluding the meeting, the President emphasized that Vietnam's hosting of the Hanoi Convention signing ceremony is a significant milestone, marking the first time Vietnam has hosted the signing of a UN convention, in the context of growing concern over combating cybercrime.

The President affirmed that presiding over the signing ceremony demonstrates that Vietnam is a responsible host nation; a friend, a reliable partner, and an active and responsible member of the international community; ready to contribute to world peace, stability, and development; and adheres to the UN Charter and international law.

To ensure the signing ceremony meets the highest standards, the President instructed relevant agencies to review coordination within each ministry and between ministries, agencies, and the city of Hanoi, ensuring meticulous planning, content, schedule, and quality of implementation. Along with this, a thorough assessment of prepared aspects, from technical details and content to protocol and security, should be conducted; any difficulties or obstacles should be identified and addressed to ensure meticulous organization, quality, and absolute safety.
