Dong Thap: Providing feedback on 2 important draft laws.

(DTO) On the morning of June 4th, Ms. Chau Thi My Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the 16th National Assembly Delegation of Dong Thap province, chaired a conference to provide feedback on the draft Law on Supporting Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (amended) and the draft Law on Auctioning Assets (amended). Representatives from relevant departments, agencies, and units in the province attended the conference.

According to the draft, the Law on Supporting Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (amended) consists of 6 chapters with 50 articles. The amendment aims to fully and promptly institutionalize the Party and State's guidelines and policies on developing the private economy and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises; at the same time, to overcome the limitations and shortcomings in the implementation of the current law.

At the same time, the draft law also aims to perfect the legal framework for supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in a way that is synchronized, transparent, and feasible; creating conditions for the SME sector to develop rapidly and sustainably, enhance competitiveness, promote innovation, expand markets, and increase its contribution to economic growth and job creation.

Comrade Chau Thi My Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the 16th National Assembly Delegation of Dong Thap province, delivered a speech at the conference.

Regarding the draft Law on Auctioning Assets (amended), it comprises 7 chapters with 70 articles. The purpose of drafting this law is to further institutionalize the Party and State's policies and guidelines on developing asset auction services under a socialist-oriented market mechanism; to strengthen the prevention and fight against corruption, waste, and negative practices; to enhance the professionalism and quality of asset auction activities; to ensure transparency, objectivity, and to promote the application of information technology and digital transformation in the field of asset auctions.

Delegates participated and contributed their opinions at the conference.

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and contributing many ideas related to the necessity of amending the law; the amendments and additions to the draft law; and the necessary new regulations to suit the practical situation as well as improve the effectiveness of state management and implementation in the future.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Chau Thi My Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the 16th National Assembly Delegation of Dong Thap province, highly appreciated the sense of responsibility of the delegates in contributing many heartfelt and practical opinions, from the content, structure, and technical aspects of document drafting to issues arising during the implementation process.

All contributions and suggestions made at the conference will be fully compiled by the Provincial National Assembly Delegation and sent to the drafting agency for consideration and incorporation as per regulations.
