Sending my father to the temple.
Sending my father to the temple.TPO - The story so far has only been heard from the monk and local representatives. No media outlet has directly contacted those involved. Therefore, the full details are certainly not complete. However, considering the logic of life, it is entirely believable, because similar human situations have occurred quite frequently around us.

Kenyan authorities say this is the latest instance of conflict between humans and wildlife in the country. The massacre occurred just one day after the world's oldest lion in the wild was speared to death after straying into a livestock enclosure on the outskirts of Amboseli National Park. Ten lions have been killed in the Amboseli ecosystem since last week, according to the Wildlife Service (KWS).

"Discussions focused on exploring measures to mitigate the risk of conflict between humans and wildlife, including developing an early warning system to alert communities to the presence of wildlife nearby. Authorities encouraged communities to work towards finding a final solution to resolve the conflict while protecting both human and wildlife lives," KWS said.

Reports of wildlife straying into human settlements in Kenya have increased in recent years due to growing pressure on animals from urban expansion and migration and hunting. On May 12, Loonkito, a 19-year-old male lion, was speared to death by Maasai fighters. KWS had described Loonkito as a legendary big cat warrior who had defended his territory for over a decade. In July 2021, a lion caused a disturbance after straying from its habitat in Nairobi National Park into a densely populated residential area during the morning rush hour. The park is only about 7 km from the center of Kenya's capital, which has a population of over 4 million.

In December 2019, a lion mauled a man to death outside a national park, and in March 2016, another big cat was shot dead for attacking and injuring a nearby resident. An estimated 2,500 lions live in Kenya, according to the country's first wildlife survey in 2021.
