To commemorate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025), the Central Committee of the Youth Union organized a traditional torch-lighting exchange program with the theme "The Party is the meaning of my life" at the Tan Trao National Special Historical Site, the birthplace of the Vietnamese revolution.
Attending the program were Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union and President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association; leaders of Tuyen Quang province, along with experts, historical witnesses, and youth union members.
Instilling pride in the Party and the Fatherland
Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet said that this is a meaningful and practical activity aimed at arousing pride in the Party, the Fatherland, and the nation in each youth union member; and at the same time demonstrating the determination of Vietnamese youth in following in the footsteps of their ancestors and writing more glorious chapters in the country's history.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet emphasized that the achievements our country has today are not only the great contributions of previous generations, but also the continuation of traditions by generations of Vietnamese youth.
From the arduous years of resistance to the challenging period of reform, Vietnamese youth have always been the vanguard, leading the way, and the pride and confidence of the Party and the nation. The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has always been the revolutionary vanguard, the reliable reserve force of the Party, and the place for nurturing, training, and maturing millions of Vietnamese youth. These young people have consistently demonstrated fervent patriotism, unwavering revolutionary will, and a willingness to endure hardship and sacrifice, readily dedicating their youth to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet, the theme "The Party is my reason for living" in today's traditional torch-lighting exchange program is not just a slogan, but also a profound affirmation of the youth's faith and attachment to the Party, a source of pride and gratitude for the immense contributions of the Party, of beloved Uncle Ho, and of previous generations.
"We understand that the Party is not just a political organization, but also an ideal, a belief, a sacred way of life. The Party has illuminated the path for our nation to achieve independence, freedom, and happiness. The Party has brought us a life of prosperity, peace, and development. The Party has instilled in us faith, will, and strength to overcome all difficulties and challenges," Nguyen Minh Triet expressed.
Determined to act and contribute to building the nation.
According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet, 2025 is a year of special significance, marking the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Party, the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country, the 135th anniversary of the birth of President Ho Chi Minh, the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association, and the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. This year, we will also hold Party congresses at all levels leading up to the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet also stated that at the recent 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union, General Secretary To Lam entrusted the Party's confidence in the young generation of the country.
The Central Committee of the Youth Union has unanimously chosen the theme for 2025 as "Vietnamese Youth Proud and Confident in Following the Party," to affirm that the younger generation remains steadfast in their loyalty to the Party and is proud of the great achievements of the country under the Party's leadership.
"The youth of our country are determined to act, contribute to building the nation, participate in building and protecting a strong Party, and achieve the goals set for the year, fulfilling the resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels and the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, together with the entire Party, army, and people, to lead the country steadily into a new era," affirmed Nguyen Minh Triet.

To achieve that goal, Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet believes that the role of youth union members is extremely important. On the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Central Secretariat of the Youth Union calls on all youth union members nationwide to continue to deeply understand Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style, raise awareness of the Party's leadership role, constantly cultivate revolutionary ideals, and build strong political fortitude.
Young people need to strive to study, train, improve their professional skills and knowledge, cultivate their ethics and lifestyle, and become good citizens who are useful to society. They should promote a spirit of initiative, volunteerism, and creativity in all fields, contributing to the successful implementation of socio-economic development tasks and the firm protection of the Fatherland...
