Healing is understood as the process of restoring mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Consequently, "healing" tourism has gradually become a popular trend among travelers. With its diverse tourism offerings, Thanh Hoa boasts many ideal "healing" locations and spaces that tourists choose to improve their mental and physical health.
Tourist Le Thuy Duong ( Hanoi ) enjoys a "healing" vacation at the Pu Luong Community Ecotourism Area.
We met Ms. Le Thuy Duong (32 years old, from Hanoi) at the Pu Luong Community Ecotourism Area (Ba Thuoc district) during the National Day holiday on September 2nd. Ms. Thuy Duong said that her work and life are very busy, and she needs time to enjoy peace, relaxation, and recharge her energy, and Pu Luong is truly a great choice. What impressed her most about coming here was the traditional spaces, which create a gentle and cozy feeling with the extensive use of wood in the design, helping guests to sleep more soundly. In particular, the green spaces at the resort help stabilize emotions and boost creativity...
Sharing about her work, she said that because her job is fashion design, she rarely has time off on weekends, and even after work hours, she still has work to do. Meanwhile, this profession requires creativity and a relaxed mindset to keep things fresh. Therefore, these healing trips are truly beneficial and necessary, providing a time to gain new, positive perspectives to return to the rhythm of work and life in a better way.
Ms. Truong Thi Hang (La Pasion Hotel and Tourism Company, Hanoi) said that although she works in the tourism service industry, she has very little time for herself. Meanwhile, the nature of the job not only requires sales targets but also involves constantly receiving customer feedback and handling services, making it extremely stressful. Therefore, she and her colleagues often take advantage of the time before holidays to go to places with green, cool spaces and not too much noise, such as Pu Luong or Ban But in Thanh Hoa, to "heal".
It can be said that, regardless of their profession, people come to "healing" tourism for different reasons, but ultimately, the goal is to stabilize body, mind, and spirit. Therefore, understanding customer trends and psychology is the reason why the Pu Luong Community Ecotourism Area in particular, and several other destinations in the province in general, are increasingly chosen by tourists for "healing."
Lo Van Quan, head of the restaurant and kitchen department at Pu Luong Casa Resort, shared: “We believe that not only beautiful scenery and nature, but also understanding the origin of the food and the processing methods is crucial in creating a meaningful ‘healing’ experience for our guests.”
However, alongside its positive aspects, the "healing" travel trend is being abused by some young people, who use it to justify expensive trips or all-night parties. The consequences of these trips include work disruptions, financial losses, or feelings of depression and physical exhaustion.
It's important to understand that, whether it's a five-star luxury trip or simply a relaxing getaway, the ultimate goal of "healing" travel is to keep both mind and body balanced and healthy after each journey.
