Dang Trong Minh Chau enters a new chapter with "Illusions".

On the evening of June 7th, the third night of the Vietnam International Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2025 took place at the Nguyen Du Gymnasium (Ho Chi Minh City).

When mentioning designer Dang Trong Minh Chau, people immediately think of his alluring ao dai designs. He has made his mark at many seasons of Vietnam International Fashion Week with his ao dai collections. Kim, Kim Lang, Resurrection, Wood .

At the 19th Vietnam International Fashion Week , Dang Trong Minh Chau embarked on a new chapter with evening gowns and cocktail dresses, alongside her strength in traditional Vietnamese ao dai.

Despite being a newcomer to the field of evening gowns, Dang Trong Minh Chau has impressed with her "Illusion" collection.

The designs incorporate modern techniques such as heat transfer printing, 3D modeling, cut-outs, and intricate, meticulous handcrafted embellishments.

Miss Que Anh is a familiar muse of designer Dang Trong Minh Chau.

The main colors used by the designer include black, white, red, and yellow, with materials such as taffeta brocade, organza, and faux fur to create visual effects.

In this collection, the ao dai designs also differ from the traditional ao dai he usually designs.

Designer Dang Trong Minh Chau said he chose black and white geometric patterns with the desire to convey the message that "the ao dai transcends reality to touch the depth of emotion."

The ao dai designs feature creative combinations with bodice tops, creating a unique look.

Model Minh Tú opened the show wearing a dress styled like a sculpture, inspired by royal armor.

Miss Ngoc Chau wore an elaborate, bejeweled dress with an impressive tiered, ruffled skirt.

Miss Le Hoang Phuong stood out with her daring cut-out design and unique psychedelic stone pattern.

Meanwhile, runner-up Huong Ly wore a black and white design in the Op Art style with elaborate 3D effects.

Stepping outside the comfort zone of traditional ao dai for the first time, Dang Trong Minh Chau made a lasting impression on the public.

The trio Ngoc Chau, Le Hoang Phuong, and Huong Ly performed seamlessly on the runway.
