The SJC gold price, as listed by Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC), is 84.7 million VND/ounce for buying and 86.2 million VND/ounce for selling, an increase of 200,000 VND/ounce in both directions. The difference between the buying and selling price is 1.5 million VND.
Today, DOJI lists the price of 9999 gold at 84.7 million VND/ounce for buying and 86.2 million VND/ounce for selling, an increase of 200,000 VND/ounce in both buying and selling prices compared to yesterday. The difference between the buying and selling price is 1.5 million VND.
Meanwhile, at Mi Hong Gold and Gemstone Company, the price of SJC gold at the time of the survey was listed at 85.2-86.2 million VND/ounce for buying and selling. Compared to yesterday, the buying price remained unchanged and the selling price increased by 300,000 VND/ounce.
The price of SJC gold at Bao Tin Minh Chau and Bao Tin Manh Hai companies is also being traded at 84.8-86.2 million VND/ounce (buying price - selling price), an increase of 100,000 VND/ounce in the buying price and an increase of 200,000 VND/ounce in the selling price compared to yesterday.
The group of state-owned commercial banks (Vietcombank, Vietinbank, Agribank , BIDV) listed the price of SJC gold bars at 86.2 million VND/ounce.

According to Kitco, the spot price of gold in the world market at 4:30 AM Vietnam time today was $2,688.85 USD/ounce. Today's gold price increased by 0.72% compared to yesterday. Converted using the USD exchange rate on the free market (25,742 VND/USD), the world gold price is approximately 83.4 million VND/ounce (excluding taxes and fees). Therefore, the price of SJC gold bars is currently 2.8 million VND/ounce higher than the international gold price.

Gold prices rebounded as uncertainty surrounding the upcoming Trump administration's policies diminished the safe-haven appeal, even as stronger-than-expected US jobs data reinforced expectations that the Federal Reserve is unlikely to aggressively cut interest rates this year.
Gold prices edged lower to $2,663.09 per ounce after data showed the U.S. added 256,000 jobs last month, compared with economists’ estimates of 160,000. The unemployment rate stood at 4.1%, compared with forecasts of 4.2%.
However, gold bullion prices quickly recovered and reached their highest level since December 12, heading for a weekly gain of over 1.7%.
Tai Wong, an independent metals trader, said: "The volatility in gold prices shows a shortage of sellers of this metal; this apprehension learned from last year's significant price surge. The momentum from an immediate reaction quickly disappeared and short-term traders and selling programs quickly reversed course."
The US dollar strengthened while US stock futures fell sharply following the jobs data. Markets indicate traders now expect the Fed to cut interest rates by only 30 basis points this year, compared to a potential 45 basis point cut before the data was released.
"Gold is still showing signs of recovery ahead of a much stronger-than-expected jobs report... One of the factors supporting gold is the uncertainty we've seen ahead of the (US presidential) inauguration," said David Meger, director of metals trading at High Ridge Futures.
As President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration on January 20th approaches, investors are worried about his announcement of tariffs on a wide range of imports, fearing they could fuel inflation and further restrict the Fed's ability to lower interest rates.
While gold bullion is valued as a hedge against inflation, high interest rates reduce its attractiveness as a non-yielding asset.
Spot silver prices rose 0.9% to $30.38 per ounce, platinum fell 0.2% to $959.10, and palladium increased 2.2% to $943.93. All three metals are on track for gains this week.
