Viettel's mark in three pillars of digital transformation

Viettel participated in deploying 53 public services, standardizing 7 million subscribers, developing language assistants for courts, having 13 data centers... after 6 years of digital transformation.

In 2018, Viettel announced its new goal of “Pioneering the key to creating a digital society”. From here, the group transformed from a telecommunications service provider to a digital service provider. The unit aims to bring digital technology into all areas of life, using technology to solve social problems, serving people on three pillars: Digital Government, Digital Economy and Digital Society.

Regarding digital government, focusing on data and online public services, Viettel participates in deploying 53 essential public services, building automated applications for public administrative centers and public services without using paper records... More than 7 million Viettel subscribers have standardized information, ensuring safety and protecting customer rights.

The Group has deployed the Intelligent Operations Center (IOC) for more than 30 provinces and cities, helping leaders at all levels make decisions based on real-time data and figures.

With the ministry, the unit developed a large Vietnamese language model, completing the testing of the Legal Virtual Assistant serving the Court System. The uniqueness of this AI assistant lies in its large and reliable legal knowledge system.

In the digital economy group, the group recognizes that infrastructure serving digital technology is a necessary condition for people and businesses to develop faster. From there, Viettel invests heavily in digital infrastructure, closely following the goal of Vietnam becoming a regional Digital Hub by 2030.

Currently, Viettel Cloud has the largest data center infrastructure system in Vietnam, including 13 data centers, with a scale of 9,000 racks. The ecosystem has more than 70 service products, ranging from physical infrastructure services such as colocation, to AI platform (artificial intelligence) and IoT platform (Internet of Things). Moving the information technology system to the cloud environment helps optimize resource efficiency, flexibility in use and safety when national data is guaranteed by Vietnamese enterprises.

As a pillar of digital society, Viettel has successfully built a digital twin of one of the first virtual cities in Vietnam, containing high technology content (IoT, Big Data, AI, GIS, Simulation, Blockchain...). Viettel also contributes to popularizing cashless payments to nearly 25 million customers through the Viettel Money digital financial ecosystem.

Serving the entertainment industry, user experience is continuously optimized with AI and Big Data technology on the TV360 television application with more than 20 million installations.

School management systems, online learning (K12Online), electronic health books, social security program management systems, etc. are also integrated on the national data platform. Thanks to that, the group helps improve the quality and convenience for people when accessing social services.

The unit increases network security, helping people live and work more safely in the digital space. Viettel closely coordinates with authorities, service providers and end users. As a leading unit in information security services in Vietnam, the group provides a new generation security solution ecosystem, supporting early detection of risks and signs of fraud for organizations and businesses. Along with that are communication activities, warnings about targeted phishing attacks and common forms of impersonation to the community.
