Volunteer for the community
One of the hallmarks of Phu Vang youth is always being proactive in volunteer activities to participate in building new rural areas (NTM). According to Ms. Mai Thi Thanh Thao, Secretary of Phu Vang District Youth Union, union members and young people in the area actively responded to and effectively implemented the movement "Phu Vang Youth join hands to build NTM and urban civilization" launched by the District Youth Union. In particular, youth projects and tasks, building infrastructure, NTM landscape; maintaining order; building cultural life, protecting the environment were positively responded to. The Youth Union - Association - Pioneer Organization from the district to the grassroots level has carried out 400 youth projects, 33 projects of practical significance, attracting the participation of more than 2,000 young union members.
These are constructions, entertainment and sports venues in some residential areas and many schools in the area, creating conditions for young people to have more healthy playgrounds, for people to have places for physical activities, sports , and improve their health; contributing to schools in the process of building and "finishing" national standard schools.
Joy and pride filled the young hearts when in March - the month of youth, Phu Vang District Youth Union coordinated with other units to inaugurate the red scarf house for Tran Van Lap, a student of class 3/1 at Phu Da 2 Primary School, Phu Da town, with a total support fund of 80 million VND; inaugurated the "Great Solidarity" house for Ms. Nguyen Thi Gai (Van Giang village, Phu Luong commune), worth more than 160 million VND; started construction of the "House of Love" for Ms. Do Thi Hanh's family, a poor household with especially difficult circumstances in Hoa Tay residential group, Phu Da town, worth 160 million VND.
The youth project “Light of Gratitude” at the district martyrs cemetery, including a system of 10 solar lights worth 15 million VND and the bridge project in Hamlet 16 in Dinh Cu village, Phu An commune with a total value of more than 130 million VND, was also inaugurated by Phu Vang District Youth Union in coordination with organizations and units in the meaningful month of March.
According to Mr. Ho The Hung, Standing Deputy Secretary of Phu Vang District Party Committee, Phu Vang youth have effectively promoted the spirit of vanguard in all activities, especially volunteer activities for the community. Every year, Phu Vang District Youth Union joins hands with the District Poverty Reduction Steering Committee to help poor households escape poverty. In particular, the District Youth Union is the core force to help repair hundreds of houses; at the same time, install electricity and water systems, and donate essential items, so that households can soon stabilize their lives, feel secure in doing business, and strive to develop the economy .
Promote creativity
According to Secretary of Phu Vang District Youth Union, Ms. Mai Thi Thanh Thao, the creative youth movement in the area is increasingly becoming practical, promoting creativity with many specific activities, creating an environment for young people in the area to develop their strengths and thinking.
The Youth Union of agencies in the district has proactively applied science and technology, especially information technology in professional work; proactively advised agencies and units to set up and manage websites to facilitate transactions as well as promote management work; implemented many activities of "Volunteer Saturday, resolving administrative procedures for the People" to bring satisfaction to the people.
Youth Union members of schools actively participate in creative start-up programs and competitions such as: Youth and children's creativity; science and technology creativity, youth informatics citywide, winning many high-level city and national awards.
The youth union in rural areas has changed its awareness, boldly investing and applying information technology, science and technology, and modern equipment to labor and production to improve labor productivity as well as boldly building effective production and business models. Typical models include: Dafusa cooperative of young man Vo Van To (Phu Da town); fish sauce production of young man Tran Quoc Tin (Phu Thuan commune); advertising printing of Mr. Mai Ba Hoang (Phu Da town); using rolling machines to process agricultural by-products of young man Tong Quoc Huy (Phu Luong commune); pig farming and providing feed for poultry and livestock of young man Nguyen Thanh Tuong (Vinh Thanh commune); intensive farming of super-meat ducks with floor pepper of young man Le Quang Diep (Phu Ho commune)...
The Standing Committee of Phu Vang District Youth Union has been accompanying the Youth Union to have a "support" to promote creativity; so that the above-mentioned typical individuals in particular and Phu Vang youth in general can continue to make important contributions to the process of building a new rural area, building an increasingly developed homeland.
