A new milestone in ideological work.

VHO - On the morning of June 26th, in Hanoi, the Party Committee of the Government inaugurated the competition for excellent speakers and propagandists to disseminate the Resolution of the 14th National Congress of the Party and the Resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term.

The competition holds special political significance as it is the first competition for outstanding speakers and propagandists of the Party Committee of the Government since its establishment, marking a new stage of development in ideological work, propaganda work, and the building of a team of speakers and propagandists for the entire Party Committee.

The competition brought together 17 outstanding contestants selected from 15 Party committees under the Government Party Committee, along with more than 300 cadres and Party members who attended and cheered them on.

Attending the competition were Comrade Nguyen Thi Tuyen, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Government; Comrade Lai Xuan Lam, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Government, Head of the Organizing Committee of the competition; Comrade Phan Xuan Thuy, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; and Comrade Do Phuong Thao, Director of the Department of External Information, Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department.

Also attending were representatives of the Party Committees under the Government Party Committee; leaders of the Party Committees of state-owned commercial banks; reporters and social opinion collaborators of the Government Party Committee; representatives of the advisory and support agencies of the Party Committee of the Government Party Committee; members of the Organizing Committee, the Judging Panel, the Secretariat, and the Support Team of the Competition, along with a large number of reporters from central, ministerial, and Hanoi city press agencies.

In his opening remarks, Comrade Lai Xuan Lam affirmed that the history of the Vietnamese nation has proven that all victories of the revolution are linked to the strength of ideological work, propaganda work, and the unity of will and action of the entire nation.

Recalling President Ho Chi Minh's advice: "Propaganda is about explaining something to the people so they understand, remember, follow, and act upon it. If that goal is not achieved, the propaganda is a failure. To succeed, one must know how to propagate."

He stated that this remains a consistent requirement for the Party's ideological work throughout all stages of development.

Comrade Lai Xuan Lam, Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee and Head of the Organizing Committee of the competition, delivered the opening speech.

According to Comrade Lai Xuan Lam, the practical experience of the Vietnamese revolution shows that propaganda work always precedes and paves the way, encouraging action, consolidating faith, arousing aspirations for development, and motivating the entire nation to overcome difficulties and challenges to achieve historically significant victories.

As the country enters a new stage of development with many intertwined opportunities and challenges, the demands placed on propaganda work are increasingly high.

In particular, given the rapid development of digital technology, social media, and the increasingly sophisticated subversive activities of hostile forces in cyberspace, the team of reporters and propagandists must reaffirm their role as the core force on the Party's ideological front.

This force also directly disseminates official information, guides public opinion, strengthens social trust, protects the Party's ideological foundation, and combats false and hostile viewpoints.

Emphasizing the significance of the competition, Comrade Lai Xuan Lam stated that this is the first competition for outstanding speakers and propagandists of the Party Committee of the Government since its establishment.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Tuyen, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Government, and Comrade Phan Xuan Thuy, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, presented tokens of appreciation to the subordinate Party committees whose members participated in the competition.

This event marks a new stage of development in ideological work, propaganda work, and the building of a team of speakers and propagandists throughout the Party organization, meeting the requirements of the tasks in the new development stage of the country.

The competition is taking place in the context of the entire Party, people, and army focusing on implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Congress of the Party; determined to successfully implement major policies on restructuring and streamlining the organizational apparatus; developing science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation; building a modern administration, a constructive, honest, and proactive government; aiming for rapid and sustainable growth and ushering the country into a new era of development.

In that context, Comrade Lai Xuan Lam affirmed that the team of speakers and propagandists of the Party Committee of the Government plays a particularly important role.

Each speaker and propagandist is not only responsible for conveying resolutions but also for contributing to clarifying the Party's major policies; thoroughly explaining new issues arising during implementation; creating consensus among cadres, Party members, civil servants, and workers; and inspiring a spirit of innovation, creativity, a desire to contribute, and determination to fulfill the political tasks of each ministry, sector, agency, and unit.

More importantly, this team is also responsible for conveying a strong message about the determination of the Party, State, and Government in realizing the goal of rapid and sustainable growth; building a modern national governance system; effectively utilizing all resources for development; and creating new momentum for the country to break through.

"It can be affirmed that, within the Party Committee of the Government, each speaker and propagandist is not only a person engaged in ideological work but also a messenger of innovation, a bridge connecting the Party's policies to the practical management and operation of ministries, sectors, and the entire society," Comrade Lai Xuan Lam emphasized.
