In early spring, fishermen caught over 9 tons of anchovies.

On the afternoon of February 22nd, Mr. Ngo Duc Kien, Secretary of the Party Committee of Cua Lo Ward (Nghe An Province), announced that during his first fishing trip of the year, fisherman Phung Ba Thu had a very successful catch of anchovies, bringing in an income of 156 million VND.

Fisherman Phung Ba Thu excitedly reported that after about 10 hours of fishing in the waters off Nghe An province, about 12-15 nautical miles from shore, his two fishing boats, each with a capacity of 830 horsepower (with 20 crew members on board), unexpectedly caught a large school of fresh anchovies, yielding over 9 tons.

On February 22nd, immediately after the boat docked at Nghi Thuy fishing port (Cua Lo ward), all of the anchovies were sold, generating 156 million VND in revenue.
