Besides promoting and educating about revolutionary traditions and the moral principles of "remembering the source when drinking water" and "repaying gratitude," Youth Union branches at all levels will organize activities to honor fallen heroes and martyrs, and care for those who have rendered meritorious service and their families. Based on the actual conditions of their localities and units, Youth Union branches can choose to organize one of the following activities: visiting and giving gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, those who have rendered meritorious service to the revolution, and families of those who have rendered meritorious service; organizing visits to historical sites for Youth Union members, combined with traditional activities, admitting new members, and honoring outstanding members.
Strengthening activities to show appreciation
This is the directive and guidance from the City Youth Union to all levels of the Youth Union in commemoration of the 79th anniversary of the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026).

In July, the Youth Union at all levels continued to implement the model of digitizing historical sites; building and updating digital maps of historical sites in localities; coordinating the updating of data on martyrs' cemeteries, memorials, and monuments commemorating martyrs; and digitizing information on martyrs' graves. They guided Youth Union members and the public in exploiting and using digital platforms and databases on martyrs, martyrs' cemeteries, and people who have contributed to the revolution to facilitate the search for relatives of martyrs. They encouraged Youth Union members to apply digital technology and artificial intelligence in restoring photos to present to families of martyrs and people who have contributed to the revolution.

Specifically on July 26th, all levels of the Youth Union will simultaneously launch campaigns to clean up, beautify, and plant trees at martyrs' cemeteries, memorials, temples, and monuments honoring martyrs; and organize candle-lighting ceremonies to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs.
