Promoting ethics in business

On the evening of December 17, the Hanoi People's Committee coordinated with the Hanoi Association of Small and Medium Enterprises to organize the 2023 Thang Long Entrepreneurs and Enterprises Honoring Ceremony, with the theme "Towards the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024)".

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Mac Quoc Anh - Vice Chairman and General Secretary of the Hanoi Association of Small and Medium Enterprises expressed that the event aims to honor entrepreneurs and enterprises with outstanding achievements in production and business and positive contributions to social security, thereby promoting the socio-economic development of the capital.

Some businesses with brands, operating scale and experience in the market continue to be recognized for their great contributions to economic growth in the area.

Event - Promoting ethics in business — Vice President and General Secretary of Hanoisme Mac Quoc Anh delivered the opening speech at the Honoring Ceremony.

“Entrepreneurs and enterprises should uphold national pride, business ethics, respect the law, build corporate culture, integrity in business, fulfill corporate social responsibility, participate in social security programs, and produce green - clean - beautiful and sustainable products,” Mr. Quoc Anh emphasized.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen said that recently, the disruption of the global supply chain has affected Vietnamese enterprises and those in Hanoi in particular.

However, the business community in the capital city still overcomes difficulties, strives to rise up and recover strongly. The total product in the area in 2023 is estimated to increase by 6.27%, the budget revenue is over 400 trillion VND, up 20% compared to 2022 and the total foreign investment capital is estimated at 2.9 billion USD.

Hanoi currently has 373 thousand enterprises and has made great and continuous contributions to economic growth and maintaining social security. The city recognizes and highly appreciates the above efforts.

At the same time, affirming to always accompany, take people and businesses as the objects of service; ready to improve the investment - business environment, create favorable conditions, support businesses to operate effectively.

Event - Promoting ethics in business (Figure 2). — Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen spoke at the honoring ceremony.

Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen also emphasized that the city requested businesses to continue promoting the spirit of solidarity, mutually beneficial cooperation, courage, intelligence, entrepreneurial spirit, innovation, creativity; innovate governance models, corporate culture; and sustainable development.

“Promote the development of digital-based production and business solutions, accelerate digital transformation; Apply new scientific and technological advances in the 4.0 Industrial Revolution to improve labor productivity and business efficiency of enterprises.

Proactively keep up with regional and international standards; improve product quality to meet regional and advanced countries’ standards and regulations, bring products deeper into the global supply chain; catch up with new international standards and norms. Respond to the campaign to build a corporate culture, conduct business systematically and accompany social security programs...”, Mr. Quyen stated.

At the ceremony, the Hanoi Association of Small and Medium Enterprises called on businesses to commit to supporting the social security work of Hanoi in 2024; and presented gifts to 10 policy families.

Event - Promoting ethics in business (Figure 3). — Authorized by the President and Prime Minister, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh awarded the Third Class Labor Medal and Certificates of Merit to the collectives.

Recognizing the contributions of businesses and entrepreneurs, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh awarded the Third Class Labor Medal to a number of businesses with good achievements.

Event - Promoting ethics in business (Figure 4). — Entrepreneurs and business representatives attend the 2023 Thang Long Entrepreneur and Business Honor Ceremony.

In addition, leaders of Hanoi People's Committee also awarded Certificates of Merit to 32 groups, 34 individuals and Emulation Flags to 9 groups; representatives of Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry awarded Certificates of Merit to 20 groups and 9 individuals .
