Hundreds of Hanoi businesses that have made efforts in production, business, budget contribution, job creation and social responsibility... will be recognized at the Thang Long Business and Enterprise Honoring Ceremony 2023 in December 2023.

Vice President and General Secretary of the Hanoi Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (Hanoisme) Mac Quoc Anh said: "The 2023 Thang Long Entrepreneurs and Enterprises Honoring Ceremony with the theme Thang Long - Integration - Development will take place at the Hanoi Opera House at the end of December 2023".

The program is organized by Hanoisme in coordination with the Department of Industry and Trade, the Department of Planning and Investment, the City's Emulation and Reward Committee, under the direction of the Hanoi People's Committee. The program is broadcast live on HTV1 - Hanoi Radio and Television Station.

It is expected that about 150 enterprises representing more than 300,000 enterprises in the capital will be honored and receive noble awards such as the Labor Medal; Flag of excellent emulation movement unit of the Government; Certificate of Merit of the Prime Minister; Thang Long Cup; Flag of excellent emulation movement unit of Hanoi City; Certificate of Merit of the Hanoi People's Committee; Certificate of Merit of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).

Mr. Mac Quoc Anh said that over the past 8 months of 2023, production and business activities of enterprises have encountered many difficulties. However, with the determination and participation of the entire city's political system, the sharing and companionship of the business community and the people of the capital, Hanoi has achieved positive results.

Specifically, since the beginning of the year, banks have reduced interest rates four times, adjusted 38 types of fees, the city has had many solutions to speed up the disbursement of public investment capital, and remove difficulties for typical projects such as the Ring Road 4 project... This is a "medicine" to help businesses overcome difficulties. People's purchasing power has improved by 10.4%, helping to reduce inventory, helping businesses produce and do business better...

In the general achievements of the Capital in socio-economic development in recent times, according to Mr. Mac Quoc Anh, there is an extremely important contribution of the team of entrepreneurs and the business community of the Capital. This is the main material production force of the economy, at the same time playing a big role in contributing to the construction of policy mechanisms on socio-economic development and international integration in the new situation.

The program is an opportunity to honor and commend outstanding businesses and entrepreneurs of the Capital who have made many positive contributions to the socio-economic development of the Capital and the country in 2023. At the same time, honor individuals and collectives with outstanding achievements in the production and business process, actively participating in the activities of the Association, social security movements, and other activities.

Thereby, enhancing the spirit of solidarity, dynamism, creativity, competition in production and business, proactively integrating into the international economy; contributing to the socio-economic development of the capital.

Enterprises to be honored must fully pay social insurance, taxes, create jobs, innovate, have trade unions, introduce union members to the Party organization...

In the first 8 months of 2023, Hanoi had 21,100 newly established enterprises with registered capital of 208.8 trillion VND, an increase of 7% in the number of enterprises but a decrease of 6% in registered capital over the same period.

Hanoi has about 370,000 enterprises, on average 37 people in the capital have 1 enterprise, 3.8 times higher than the national average. The number of small and medium enterprises accounts for 98% of the total enterprises in the area. In recent times, small and medium enterprises have continuously developed and innovated, contributing about 50% of GDP to Hanoi, creating jobs for more than 50% of the workforce.
