Accordingly, following the directives of the Deputy Prime Minister and the People's Committee of Hue City, the Hue Imperial Citadel Conservation Center held a meeting to review the responsibilities of the collective and individuals involved in the incident.
Specifically, the collective and the Board of Directors of the Hue Imperial Citadel Conservation Center conducted a thorough review and drew lessons learned before the leaders of the Hue City People's Committee; severely criticized the Security Management Department and the Hue Imperial Palace Antiquities Museum; applied disciplinary action in the form of a reprimand to the Head and Deputy Head of the Security Team; and dismissed two security guards from Thai Hoa Palace who were present at the time of the incident.
Currently, the Investigation Police Department of Hue City Police has issued a notice of decision to initiate a criminal case, indict the suspect, and order the temporary detention for a period of 3 months of suspect Ho Van Phuong Tam for the crime of intentionally damaging property, according to point C, clause 2, Article 178 of the Penal Code.

These plans will focus on ensuring comprehensive measures to prevent theft, fire, explosions, natural disasters, and other potential damage, guaranteeing the absolute safety of the national treasures.
In the coming period, the city will also prioritize investing in the renovation and upgrading of facilities and technical infrastructure, and investing in specialized equipment for the display and preservation of artifacts and the exhibition area of national treasures at the Hue Imperial Citadel Conservation Center.
Promote the application of new technologies in management and supervision, such as early warning sensor systems, virtual fences, and security monitoring systems, to ensure that national treasures are placed under special preservation conditions as guided by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The "Nguyen Dynasty throne," located in the center of the Thai Hoa Palace (Hue Imperial Citadel), was recognized as a National Treasure in 2015.
Earlier, at approximately 11:55 AM on May 24th, Ho Van Phuong Tam (born in 1983, residing in Huong Long Ward, Phu Xuan District, Hue City) purchased an entrance ticket to the Hue Imperial Citadel.
Upon entering the Thai Hoa Palace area, Ho Van Phuong Tam exhibited unusual behavior. Despite being asked by security personnel to move to the back of the palace, he returned, sneaked into the area displaying the throne, shouted, and climbed onto the artifact, breaking the front left armrest.
To prevent the individual from acting violently and damaging other exhibits, security personnel approached from a distance, reminded the individual to leave, and simultaneously called for reinforcements.
At approximately 12:10 PM, law enforcement officers apprehended Tâm and notified the Đông Ba Ward Police to draw up a report of his arrest.
